Just a few things I picked out before my connection fizzled.
1). Rocky commented on the number of multi sport athletes in this class, needed to counter the different offenses they face every year.
2). Gargantuan Offensive Linemen, "monsters".
3). San Diego County football was a little off this year in terms of D1 players, so SDSU recruiting reflected that. He said next year will be very strong.
4). The turnover on the offensive staff reflected more out of state players. He mentioned Coach Horton's efforts.
Bottom line for me is that this is probably Rocky's best class. I am excited to see the RB from TX and Lakalaka from HI come to SDSU. Big boys on the O-line remind me of what he had at the end of his New Mexico tenure.

He emphasized speed and track athletes in particular, mentioned Parker Baldwin at 6'2 and 215 running 100 and 200 in Arkansas and being the favorite to be state champion. He used the word "athletes" a lot, referring to not knowing where some of these guys can play, but the fact they may be able to slot in a few different areas.

2014 = 10-2 2015 = 13-0 I'm looking forward to 2018 to see if I'm happy with this class.

This class looks pretty good from top to bottom, even without counting the upper-class transfers, these kids should push up the depth chart sooner than later. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple true frosh are scratching the three deep by Spring.
Oldie Out

I wonder who the "thought we had another one from Texas" was? Any ideas?

And the way Pete Carrol built USC. The first question he would ask if a recruit was brought up by a coach was "what other sports does the kid play". He wanted multi-sport athletes.

It thought Patterson built his programs on high school QBs and RBs?

2014 = 10-2 2015 = 13-0 QB and RB generally among the best athletes.

I have to wonder about the QB Agnew. He seems fairly athletic and a good dual threat high school player. Unfortunately, Aztecs have missed on just about every HS QB recruit since Lindley, and this is the age of the super dual threat QB in college football (Manziel, RG III, Jordan Lynch, Cam Newton, Kaepernick, Mariota ect). Anybody seen this guy play? Is he legit or another project?

Agnew was recruited by OC Horton out of a decent conference in Texas, a 3 star versatile QB . Believe he recruited him because he was dual style QB . I am not sure what the other QB 's we have recruited in the last 4 or 5 years have been rated or who was doing the recruiting . Believe he comes in this summer , not the spring so will see after that , how he may shape up compared to the 3 freshman QB's we had on the team last year . The QB recruiting and development is key for the Aztecs going forward .

Here's video from his freshman season: www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4yUaCw0pr4 Check out the play that starts at 0:44. Some Aztecs don't like the kid because he doesn't have a particularly strong arm. Well give me Blantonian accuracy, touch and mobility any day of the week.

Sounds like you are really being very tough with your opinion, and sounds like you are setting yourself up to be disappointed. I am very happy with this year's class , and look forward to what they may accomplish. I expect nothing, and will let this class & team do what they can to make this program better.

Being that he plays in Texas, there plenty of YouTube footage: In this clip, described as tiny, but throws on rhythm, much like a D. Bress (not comparing, just style of play) Throws the deep out well to big receivers out of a spread offense. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHPCYa8Tu6s

Agnew comes from a long line of successful QBs from SLC HS. I don't know many programs nationally that produce more college level QBs aside from Mission Bendejo

Would guess that the transfers from Oregon J.R . ( a junior ) and the senior grad from Kentucky will battle it out for starting QB , with Chapman who redshirted last year . Agnew and Bowden(sp) could be red shirts to really learn the system and be ready to compete for being in the battle for starting in 2016 or 2017. If all the guys stay .
