I like Texas players but why are we loading up on 2/no star (with no P5 offers) Texas recruits? Are there no 2/no star players (with no P5 offers) from California that want to play at SDSU? Having so many Out of State recruits has to jack up scholarship cost because of out of state tuition. I don't get the recruiting plan SDSU is following. I guess we will see if it pans out in a few years. It is simple, even Rocky explained it so you could understand. He said there were not enough good players in the San Diego area, and they concentrated on recruits elsewhere like Texas. You may remember that we have had two pretty good QB's start for us from the lone star state. Both had first name of Adam. One was Adam Dingwell, and the other was our current strength & conditioning coach, Adam Hall. No they weren't 4 or 5 star players, but they did win us a number of games at QB.

That means there are many more guys there under the radar and not getting looks from the normal services. Time will tell. How many HS Texas recruits that we've signed in the past have even made the 2 deep?

I only count four on the 2014 roster: Devante Davis Jr TR, Adam Roberts, graduated SR, Kameron Kelly, RsF and the guy I think may be really good, soon to be So. Sergio Phillips who played some as a true Fr this past season. He is one quick, strong dude on what should the best Aztec DL ever in terms of depth.

Once they chose to come to play for the red and black , the name on the jersey and logo on the helmet says San Diego State , they are San Diego State guys . If it is good enough for them to come travel to the Mesa , that is all that really counts . Welcome ,now help us win a championship and more bowl games .

Who cares where they are from if they can play? Should they have passed on that # 28 (MF) referenced above? Send Calvin back to Mizzou? Everbody else wanted that guy to play cornerback. That helped.
