Absolutely loving being able to watch my Aztecs on the CBS Sports Network. So much better than watching an unreliable stream on my computer. 6 of the last 9 conference games will be televised! Of the 3 that won't be on, I'll be at the @ SJSU game... and am now 'thinking' about driving up to Reno for @ Nevada. Thank you Astound (which is otherwise the worst cable company in America) for carrying the CBS Sports Network!

Forgot to record the game- Does anyone know if CBSSN has an archive to be able to watch prior games on demand like ESPN does? I listened to the game on the phone in the car driving home from daughter's college lacrosse game- so had a good excuse to miss watching live. Ted was in rare form, by the way.
I appreciate any help if the game is out there online somewhere... thanks in advance!

As I'd said some time ago, this is the future for mid-level athletics, the proliferation of cable sports networks, CBSSP, ROOT, FS1, et al. I do still miss theMTN however, as someone else once posted, I would rather watch a Wyoming-CSU MBB game than Duke-UNC. For better or worse, it's just more relevant. Again, we are what we are.

Doug Gottlieb gives us mad love... However, I was a little confused by he and FIsh's parting at the end of the game... did anybody else catch that last night?

Thanks, I did that as soon as I got home, went out a week and there is no replay. Thanks though, I appreciate it.

Love Gottlieb, can we get him to do all our games?

Caught it, and it was super awkwardly funny.

Didn't catch that, but Gottlieb's brother used to be on the staff with Fisher.

Gottlieb gives the Aztecs love, but Wally Szerbiak on the studio show (also a great show by CBS Sports Network on college hoops) just gushes about our squad. He loves our defense, rebounding and toughness. So do I.

He loves our defense, rebounding and toughness. So do I. So does Jon Rothstein in a very subtle way. If we stink at halftime he'll say it, but adds what we will need to do to fix it. In other words, he knows we can do better instead of just writing us off.

Didn't catch that, but Gottlieb's brother used to be on the staff with Fisher. And Doug's dad Bob, (who had been a Division I coach), passed away recently - I'm sure Coach Fisher knew him well.

Doug does not hesitate to criticize us, but he does so accurately. He skewered us in a radio interview recently (see "Why Doug Gottlieb is not hot on the Aztecs"). But he revises his view as needed. I think he was actually impressed with us Sat. !!!
I did not hear any mention of the five minute stat. Although the game wasn't in question, I still expect it the obligatory "coffee is for closers..."

He loves our defense, rebounding and toughness. So do I. Saturday, the Aztecs, the best MWC defensive rebounding team, played Utah State, one of the worst MWC offensive rebounding teams, played and Utah State had 13 offensive rebounds. Sometimes the basketball bounces just right for the offense. It seemed to bounce right for Utah State on Saturday. Most of their offensive rebounds were on plays where the Aztecs had much better positions to rebound. One was on a missed Utah State free throw where Malik Pope failed to hold his block out of the guy next to him. Fisher called him over, off the free throw blocks, for a little talk when Utah State was fouled on the ensuing play and lined up again.

Maybe, but it's still missed by us MW fans. As my ex-boss used to say "Content is king." While the analysis wasn't always top notch, it's still a hell of a lot better than we get out of you wannabes (I'm including myself in this category). And, if I remember correctly, we were able to watch every single Aztec men's game, and a few of the ladies games too. Of course we didn't get Nat'l exposure very often, only if our game was picked up by another network.

Yep.....and for my own selfish reasons (knowing it wasn't ideal for the school or conference) I still miss it.

You just have to watch them on the MWC website, which I personally prefer, as it allows me to then use my TV to watch college games between two teams that don't suck.
