Great news. Really excited and glad that this young man as an Aztec and his parents should be happy to see his development at SDSU. Regardless if he is a WR or a safety, he has great hands, runs crisp routes and if he is on "D", flows to the ball.

We don't recruit from Arkansas very often. He has a good size/speed combo.

Another solid pick up. Need to finish off strong.

I'm very glad to have him as he indeed has size and shows very good hands. I don't see him playing WR though because of an absence of quickness. Assuming Horton doesn't go Toledolian and actually decides to use TEs as something besides blockers, I see him playing there.

Man, I just love it when when posters make comments about the lack of a player quickness and what position that they won't play and THEN opine without checking out the facts; so lets see what the 3 other Aztec WR commits have for speed:
Wayne Jackson 40 Yard= 4.55 Jerry Chaney 40 Yard= 4.56 Jack Bailey 40 yard= 4.60 PARKER BALDWIN 40 Yard= 4.50 and Parker ran the State 200 yards in: 22.60, not bad at all.
Take another look at the Hudl videos of Parker and see the separation after the catch and his routes as well and then maybe re-post. Parker has all the tools to be a great WR at SDSU. IMHO

I agree with Aztec Sun. Look at him after the catch, he ran away from the defenders.

Very athletic kid, a man amongst boys in HS, productive, aggressive, quick. Has a nose for the ball, strong at the point of attack.
My wish he will be another Calvin Munson type of impact player.

NO, but you don't run a 4.5 without some quickness. That time is determined mostly by a quick start.

I'll buy that. 2014 = 10-2 2015 = 13-0 Kudos "bow wow" for your reasonableness. with 67 posts you are in the top 10% of posters on this board. I'm not a big fan of 40 times. I'd like to see 20 times. Hitting the line at good speed is tops. Go ahead and tackle my guy after a 20 yard gain.

IMHO Aztec Sun There is a kid from OC who runs a 4.5 flat. He reminds me of Preston King...at least on the offensive side of the ball. Yet, no offers. Kaleb Fossum was South Coact League MVP...the same league as King and former WR Dylan Denso. Fossum is much better than Denso was. The kid had 4 punt returns in a game vs. Capo Valley...unfortuantely, two were called back. I'm not sure why we haven't even looked at him, considering the other WRs we have on the roster and our commits. This kid runs good routes and can actually catch the ball.

If he plays any kind of receiver - can he run decent routes and hang on to the ball , then worry about YAC after you catch the ball
on defense can he wrap up and tackle , LB , Safety or even special teams .

With an actual Special Teams coach . plus there is a good % of the game where ST's are on the field . Maybe we could dominate other teams during those opportunities , with guys wanting to get on the field and make plays, can turn the game or momentum . Any one remember the fake punt that we allowed that really changed a game around and we ended up losing . Have a ST captain and really make this an important part of our team .
