www.goaztecs.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/013015aaa.html San Diego State will honor the memory of Tony Gwynn during its season-opening weekend as it hosts Valparaiso for the three-game series Feb. 13-15. Among the events planned are the retirement of Gwynn's No. 19 SDSU jersey, an Aztecs vs. Cancer event and a tribute to SDSU's Golden Spikes Award winners Stephen Strasburg and Travis Lee. Will do my best to be there for some if not all of the activities. Hope to see many of you as well.

Why hasn't his #24 basketball jersey been retired yet in Viejas?

Because he wasn't good enough to warrant it when there are only about 30 something numbers available

Tony is the greatest Aztec of all time -- I sure wish that I could be there to honor him.
Go Aztecs!

Glad to see SDSU doing all this hope there is some advertising in the paper for this too. Would be nice to have a packed baseball stadium all weekend.
