As badly as we all feel about tonight's loss, we are witnessing a future NBA player develop before our eyes in Pope. CSU had a lot of time to prepare for us, just as we did with Wyoming last week. I am convinced that on a neutral court in the tourney that we beat CSU and win the MW tourney. The schedule killed us this week and they shot lights out against us tonight.....We don't lose another game the rest of the season, win the tourney and see what happens in the dance.

Shep sadly looks like the freshmen on the court.

We will be really tough to beat in the MW tournament with our depth, (three games in three days). We've got a good chance to win the tournament plus the league title.

If only we would receive a bye to the elite 8 would this be impressive. No one but maybe us fans care how we do in our own tournament against garbage competition. The rest of the world doesn't care and quite frankly they shouldn't. Do we care who wins the horizon league and tourney? How about the MAC?

You do realize that New Mexico has won the tournament the last what...2-3 years? I for one am going this year. Our league is pretty competitive and even across the board. By tourney time UNLV will look much improved, CSU will be rolling, Who knows what Boise will scrap together and Fresno wil be interesting to see. SDSU has so many moving and changing parts right now they will not be the same team by then. Nobody will. And with the way everyones OOC season has gone, this years conference tourney will be more important than ever for the selection committee.

I am excited despite last night's loss. Bring it on the conference and the tournament. I am confident we will win both.

Most excited I've been after a loss in awhile. I think Fish has brought Pope along perfectly. He's peaking at the perfect time and is the piece we've been missing on offense. Nice to have a legit NBA player again. Hard not to be excited about the rest of the year and next year.

Just returned from a practice run for March and hopefully I'll be tearing far less tickets, in particular ones that have " San Diego State +115" at the end of the parlay lines.

We've been going to the Vegas tourney since 2007. Learned early on, not to bet on the Aztecs. Already rooting for them at the arena, don't need to compound the pressure. Usually stick with the Big East and ACC tourneys. Also, bet on the other games in the MW. We do, after all, spend all year scouting them may as well make some $$.

I've been told many times: "Vegas was built on parlays..." Not that I (intellectually) disagree, but it's also Vegas bigger is usually better and being mostly "play money" it's hard to ignore the sirens lure of "adding just one more team pretty much doubles the payout!" -- plus, we're all sports fans, so we generally have an opinion on most games. Sadly, I was most confident in SDSU and adding the other team or two to the other parlay tickets were the ones I was worried about. Oh well...

I've been told many times: "Vegas was built on parlays..." yeah I've heard that too. It's hard enough just to win 1 game by itself let along 3 or 4 or 15 team parlay. But it's fun to think we can flip $5 bucks into a couple of hundred if lucky on that ticket. I hit an 8 team one time. Only put $2 bucks though, haha.

Granted, everyone has a different interpretation of what a "big" bet is to them, but my dilemma is always: invest a less amount money in more (quantity of) and more elaborate tickets ... or invest more (money) in just a straight bet and try to come out up 4-5x what you started with using that approach by wining a high percentage. To each his own and I struggle doing the right one at the right time.
