Pope should start and Shepard should come off the bench. It's time for Fisher to let the dog out.

You sound like a broken record. If you don't have anything to contribute then STFU.

The OP is correct. (Except coach holding Pope back). But I believe Malik should be starting and Shep coming in off the bench. Pope's upside is crazy good. He can do everything, Shep is good at getting to the line, but doesn't shoot FTs well enough to make the opponents pay.

I would be fine with Pope starting and Shepard going to the bench. Shep is what he is and Pope has huge upside and we need to develop him.

A player can get hot on any night. Pope has been getting a good amount of playing time lately and he hasn't really done a lot before this game.
His defense isn't there yet and he makes a lot of freshman mistakes.
I'm glad he did well tonight but that's not going to happen every night.

If one can't see Pope is the best player on the team now that he's worked off the rust, one needs glasses.
It's time he start.

Hate the fact that we lost the game but you ain't gonna win when a team shoots like that from 3s. But man, I am liking what I see from pope and shrig. Hopefully they continue to grow. Please start making FTs this is killing us

If one can't see Pope is the best player on the team now that he's worked off the rust, one needs glasses. No, if one thinks Pope is the best player on the team based on 2 games, 1 in which everyone on the team made shots, one needs to reevaluate how they value individuals on the team.

NO question Pope has the biggest upside of anyone on our team. Before the season began, talk was that as the season progressed he would be the best player on the court and start....It's close to that time now.

Pope has a lot of upside but makes freshman mistakes. WS does not have the excuse of being a freshman for all his mistakes. WS thinks he is better than he is. I suspect he is near worst in league in turnovers which has the consequence of both taking points from the Aztecs and providing the opposition an opportunity for points.
Like a lot of people I do not think Pope can play like this every game. In addition with his injury issues any smart coach would bring him along slowly. Fisher is bringing him along perfectly and knows what he is doing. I suspect Pope will start by the end of the year if he can stay healthy. If he stays healthy he could be a great player.

Thing about Pope is that it wasn't until tonight that he finally took a decent number of shots. Wasn't he average roughly 10 minutes a game until Air Force? Going off the top of my head, so I could be off. One thing is for certain, he was worked into the offense much more tonight and he took advantage of it. Malik, for the first time, played with the confidence of a 5 star player. Fish has been bringing him along slowly, but it looks like he's unleashed the Kraken. Time to feed the monster. I think we're all hoping to see a lot more of Pope as the season wears on. Am I getting ahead of myself? We'll see. It sucked to lose tonight, but it's definitely tempered by the emergence of ThePope. BTW, the Show needs a Gregorian chant whenever Pope enters the game.

id love to see him start but i think fisher still keeps him coming off the bench for the next couple games. hes coming off 2 gnarly injuries better safe than sorry. if he keeps balling though no doubt he'll be starting come march. still needs to work on his defense

Pope just started practicing on a regular basis a month ago with the team... He had not played basketball in almost two years. Missed practice time all of the summer, Oct and most of November. No practice time = No playing time. CSU fans afterwards were saying, " I hope he goes to the NBA real quick. He will be a pain in our a** the next three year. "
