If for some reason he turns out not to be a stud OL, I wonder if they'd consider moving him to nose tackle... I'd think he'd be able to swat some balls down with that 6'10 size
Disclaimer: not actually suggesting that, just think it'd be fun to watch/fantasize about

[/p] The best thing about height is it allows you to carry more weight without being fat/slow.
[/quote] Height also usually correlates with arm length. Longer arms are a huge plus for pass blocking.

OL Jordan Murray (6'10, 351 lbs) of Coppell HS (6-5 record in 2014-15) in Coppell, TX Rivals Profile: sports.yahoo.com/sandiegostate/football/recruiting/player-Jordan-Murray-166396This may sound silly, but I'm curious as to whether a 6'10 offensive lineman has more of an advantage or disadvantage against an opposing pass rusher who is well shorter, a 6'2 or 6'3 linebacker, for example. The tallest defensive lineman is usually, what, 6'4 or 6'5? Murray would be great though on defense when the opponent attempts a field goal My Roommate / teammate was 6'8 347. I did the research (in live drills unfortunately).... All depends upon their foot speed and balance. In my case I will never forget "Mike" pulling on a sweep in live drills and me (222# Whip LB) searching for sunlight in between the stars....

Roomer has it that he consumed most of the tailgate food in Chapel Hill... that he still has it... Kobayashi and Chestnut have no shot...

OLs are very seldom able to make the change to defense. Just heard Urban Meyer reiterate the other day how you don't want to miss on an OL as they only have that skill set. DLs, typically are more athletic, smaller than, and use their leverage to beat the OL. We got a good one in JC transfer Pearce Slater, last year, who at 6-7 has the feet necessary to play Tackle. Wondering if they will try him at the all import LT spot this spring.

The switch seems to have worked for Frosh Sergio Phillips......looked good at DT this season.

Think coach Adam Hall after he gets him in the conditioning area should be able to get a good read on him . He has the size , then you work on foot speed and technique . Would guess he could be a project if all the P5 schools in Texas have not made him an offer .

If he has hands...he could become a nightmare for a LB to defend as a TE...only needs to get 8-10 yards down field to make an impact on medium yardage plays

With all the size we have on the OL, we're going to look like Wisconsin of the West Coast.
