If he likes to tackle the Aztec Safety positions are very interesting , May not be Hog Heaven here but enjoy Sun Diego , it has a lot to offer . Former Razorback Billy Ray Smith still lives here Rocky called and spoke to Parker last night, extending his official offer. They might give Parker a look at WR, but as of now they're leaning towards the Aztec safety position. Pretty exciting!

We have to be careful here because of compliance issues when talking to or posting with a recruits Dad. One question though being where you are how did the staff find your son,was there a connection somewhere?

Didn't realize there were compliance issues since this site isn't owned by SDSU, but thanks for the heads-up. Anything specific I should avoid mentioning? Bobby Hauck first offered Parker a few months ago while he was at UNLV. He got the link from Rick Neuheisal, who got it from one of my friends. He showed the film to the SDSU staff for the first time last week, I think. Anyway, I know he's really excited about the visit this weekend. Bobby and Parker

Bobby and ParkerI don't believe we've had any significant players on the SDSU roster from the state of Arkansas, but perhaps Parker could open a pipeline similar to Ray Peterson and Marshall Faulk starting our New Orleans pipeline a couple of decades ago.

the only compliance issues is that we can not recruit as it were a parent, or the student athlete so people have to
NCAA Rules for Boosters
Boosters play a role in providing student-athletes with a positive experience through their enthusiastic efforts. They can support teams and athletics departments through donations of time and financial resources which help student-athletes succeed on and off the playing field.
Boosters, referred to by the NCAA as “representatives of the institution’s athletic interests,” include anyone who has:
•Provided a donation in order to obtain season tickets for any sport at the university.
•Participated in or has been a member of an organization promoting the university’s athletics programs.
•Made financial contributions to the athletic department or to a university booster organization.
•Arranged for or provided employment for enrolled student-athletes.
•Assisted or has been requested by university staff to assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
•Assisted in providing benefits to enrolled student athletes or their families.
•Been involved otherwise in promoting university athletics.
Once an individual is identified as a “representative of the institution’s athletics interests,” the person retains that identity forever.
Only institutional staff members are permitted to recruit prospective student-athletes. Generally, NCAA rules prohibit anyone else from contacting (calling, writing or in-person contact) prospects or the prospect’s relatives or guardian for recruiting purposes.
Students are still considered prospects even if they have signed a National Letter of Intent or any other financial aid agreement with a university.
Boosters are not precluded from continuing established friendships with families who have prospective student-athletes. However, boosters may not encourage a prospect’s participation in university athletics or provide benefits to prospects that were not previously

Good to know. Seems like it might just be best if I went back to lurking.

Once (OK, if ) your son arrives on campus as a student, come on back and join us. MOST of us are nice. Although, even then it's probably best to just lurk. Not talking about just SDSU's message board, but any school's board where you have a child attending and playing sports. Sports message boards tend to brew up all kinds of ill-will, sometimes created by trolls visiting from other schools. Even lurking has the potential of being bad for a parent's mental health and well-being, I'd assume. And a message to the doubters: not all, but many potential recruits and their families DO visit school's boards as part of their due diligence in gauging a school's fan base. Take that as you will.

Good to know. Seems like it might just be best if I went back to lurking. Welcome, but I always cringe when recruits' family members come on this board due to the volume of stupidity and overall grumpiness of some of the fans here. Just know that we are all die hard aztec fans, even the crazy ones.

I wouldn't worry about any of all that, I've been on sports message boards since the beginning of time. Hell, I was on a Razorback email listserv in 1996. I have seen more than my fair share of stupid fans from many schools. ...but yeah, probably smarter to lurk or go incognito.
