Is a 22 year old kid who gives this team 100% every game. He had an amazing season last year and made some CLUTCH shots when we needed him. He hasn't played too well this year but some of the things said about him by aztec fans are disgusting to here.
I heard fans saying, "get off the court," "you suck" and some even bood him after he missed a three pointer after missing two free throws. Really?? These were gray hair season ticket holders who I've seen at games for 10+ years--not 20 year Olds who have only seen success. Is this really the type of fan base we want to be? Ones that boo our players who are in a slump?

Wow that's disgusting. I felt Polee should come off the bench too but booing and saying those things is crossing the line. He's a great kid.

The fact that he launched that ill-advised three just seconds after badly missing both free-throws... is a very bad sign. His head just isn't in the game right now.

Expectations have increased both on the board and at Viejas. Sad to hear this.

I'll go back and check the film, but that looked like a pretty open three that he took. The missed free throws to me are more of a concern as he was good from the line last year. All he needs is one good game to snap out of the funk that he has been in.

Ones that boo our players who are in a slump? It is harsh but you are leaving out a lot of details - and I heard the UT had an article mentioning DP2 would be pulled from the starting 5. Against a small, 3-6 Ball St team, DP2 did not take a single good shot all game long except one open three he missed badly on. The gliding to his right shots are awful shot selections. The back-to-back turnovers before the boo birds came out was after about 10 poor plays in the game. He lost a lot of his 2014 confidence and it is clearly visible, and he is completely lost in the offense. This is part of the weakness in Fisher's coaching strategy. We run an offense that has very little motion and then relies on a high screen-and-roll when the clock drifts down - only we have no solid playmaker for that structure. Unfortunately we can't fix that overnight. We are simply not as good as we hoped this season.

Trey does not provide that....

I heard some booing early in the game, too. The players are not pros. I didn't particularly like DPII's game tonight, but I suspect he didn't either. Didn't hear any more booing as the game went on, however - or maybe it was just muted by the cheering.

Coming out of the half, Polee hit all 3 of his three point attempts during warm ups. After he hit the last one I saw him shake his head and say something to himself. He is pressing. His ability didn't disappear.
One thing that has been pointed out is the constant fade away even during open looks. He didn't have even a trace of fade away during warm ups.
Whatever it is, I hope he moves past it. We need him at his best.
The fact that people booed him tonight in our gym makes me sick. You can see him smacking his hands after a miss or a turnover. He's embarrassed and disappointed in his results but he's giving us all he's got and then some.
Polee is a great kid! He didn't pout when he rode the pine the majority of his sophomore year. He was nothing but positive off the bench last year. I think he won 6th of the year in the MWC, right? I wish people would remember this and turn those boos and frustration into cheers for this young man. He deserves our support.

Thank all of you for supporting Polee. Since he has been at SDSU he has been a team player and has endured mistreatment by Fisher keeping him a box and on a short leash. In his sophomore season scoring a quick 7 points and causing the other team to turnover the ball. He was removed from the game as soon as his engine was warmed up. The next game at UNM, he had a turnover after being in for less then 15 seconds as was removed and sat the rest of the game. This treatment continued thorughout his junior year, even when he had good games until he had a break thorough game hitting the winning basket at Boise. Against Arizona in the sweet 16, after his steals and quick 3 pointers amd neutralizing Johnson and doing a nice defensive job on Gordon, he was removed from the game. At cincinatti, he deflects a pass and is part of the pressure, scores two quick hard to the hoop points and is taken out immediately. They lose the game and now is being used as a fall guy for the coaches mistakes,, and the so and so bandwagon fans are booing him...Shame on THEM>>>>>>> Perhaps there is more than meets the eye with Polee. I feel he will turn it onwhen he focuses on defense and takes the ball to the hole with authority and quit thinking shooting the three...He has the ability to do so.....and will.
