MS appeared to be "jawing" intently @ WS3 during one of the later timeouts. Might there be a little dissension a buidin' and a brewin'?

Some thoughts , we moved the ball well, guys were getting in position for points in the paint , used our athleticism . Why not continue that trend , more movement , quick passes , start running even more and crash the basket . That is the style of guys we recruit , let them show their talents . We recruit athletic guys that can score , not 3 point shooters . Play that same style . Florida Gulf Coast Style . POPE/SF was brought in as a guy that can score in a variety of ways , time for him to let it loose , he needs MS 's minutes because he can create a wide variety of shots . Kell was also brought in as a SG scorer , not just a 3 point shooter . Move him to SG . Polee is incredibly athletic especially the way he can elevate , use more of that near the basket , rather then 3 point shooting . MS seems very limited in his production ,bottom line has not put points on the board his specialty , also is a step slower then other guys on D . Fisher likes MS but , should really give Pope an opportunity to see what he can produce . Zabo also deserves an extended try at PG with Kell at SG . There are only some many minutes in a game and to me Pope needs his share. , or Allen or Williams .

I tell you what...Fisher shouldn't recruit the north coastal areas for the team's 3pt specialist ever again...need some El Cajon, Lakeside, Santee 3pt specialist whose parent's are on foodstamps...that way we know this guy his hungry to change his and his family's circumstance. Haha seriously? "You're a tremendous basketball player who shoots the lights out, but you're not on foodstamps. Sorry kid, hopefully a differnet school will recruit you." That, along with your racial and demographic generalizations are just embarrassing.

OK...I'm going to put it out there...healthy criticism...we don't need some softy that can't take the pressure of the game...I want a kid who has had some adversity in his life and wants to get out through basketball...this kids hits his damn wide open 3pt shots because he knows he doesn't have many avenues available to succeed. Now if this kid is playing with more low income kids...I bet the competition is a little tougher than playing with Smiley at the local park by the beach or golf course...Shrigs can't take the pressure of the game...if he doesn't hit his first two shots he's done and gun shy...and now he's a bonafide liability...straight out!! I'm sure he's a great guy and all, but the team needs guys who are winners...he ain't winning and is far from tremendous.

Oh yea, and he goes by Matt instead of Matthew? Guess you shouldn't be surprised when a guy who takes shortcuts with his name does the same on the court.

Right now Shrigley is 3-13 from three. Not what anyone had hoped for.

Shrigley is a streaky shooter. It's just that he's streaky in the wrong direction.
Here's the guy's totals from behind the arc to date:
0-3 (exhibition) 0-2 1-4 1-2 1-5
That's gawd awful streaky. Dude is shooting 3-13, excluding the exhibition game. That's 23%. Or, if you include the exhibition, he's at 3-16, or 19%. I know a half dozen guys at the Y who can shoot better than that. Not sure what it's going to take to get MS off the schneid, but whatever it is, the clock's ticking.

I'm hoping pope is the answer. It looks to me that Kell can shoot it, unfortunately he's stuck at the one (love beating a dead horse). A's for Shrigs, he's been given his shot. Not sure where his streaky shooter MO is coming from, it's not like he's had several games where he's gone 50% from 3.

Fisher always likes to have a token white shooter on the team, None of them will fit the style of play he has them playing. Going back to the fish michigan years i have yet to see a white player making an impact on both sides of the court. You can name Shrigley, Rahon, Steve Sir, Kovacic, Chris Walton none of them were particularly effective, i'd say Ryan Amoroso was the best of them, tough he had the JJO disease of missing layups.

I'm sure he's a great guy and all, but the team needs guys who are winners...he ain't winning and is far from tremendous. This one had me laughing. So, the kid didn't play against tougher competition on the way up so he's not "hungry," right? You know, like all the "low-income kids." He didn't lead his team to the SD section championship, the southern California championship, or a second-place finish in the state championships, or did he? You're probably right - all the teams they played against, and kept beating, were all prestigious "Smiley" teams from the local park, beach, or golf course. Definitely not inner-city, low-income teams, with "hungry" kids. I'm also sure the AAU teams he played for never played against these "hungry" kids and lord knows he never played with any of those guys on his team either, right? "Adversity" is a personal thing...simply because it's not the "adversity" that you mention doesn't mean the kid hasn't faced it. Having the adversity you seem to be so fond of doesn't guarantee that a kid will make more three-pointers, either. It doesn't matter who you play for; if you've got skills and you're good enough, you make it to the next level. The next level for Matt as well as thousands of other scholar athletes is that they get to play in the NCAA and sometimes they even get a free education. Lastly, you mention Matt's not playing like a winner. Unfortunately, no one on this team is either. Sincerely, a hungry guy who's faced plenty of adversity.
