The Aztecs scored 37 in the second half shooting, 60% from the field and 75% from the free throw line with only 6 turnovers.
We had a great comeback.
Aztecs rebounded 40% of their missed shots. That is very good.

Tough to rely on defense alone when all it takes is one hot hand... like Cobb tonight. Cobb had a hot hand in the second half and we outscored them by 2 in that half. How can that be true if we relied on defense only. |

How can that be true if we relied on defense only. The score was 41-36 Aztecs when Cobb sank his first bucket to make it 41-38... so to argue nothing but pure stats, Cincy outscored us by 5 in the second half once Cobb got hot. Does that answer your question? |

Thought Shepard was fairly good , hit his FT's . Drove to the basket well . Zabo did not have any TO's , maybe they should play a real PG at PG . Kell is a SG . Pope did not have any TO 's , he deserves Shrigley's minutes . Time to give Zabo and Pope some extended PT . Thought when we moved the ball and guys moved our offense was decent . Can we scrap the 3 point shooting .

I saw flashes of the real WS but then it faded. They played better against Long Beach .. But the refs punched it out of them. They did do a little better in the turnover stat, not much but some

I'm looking for' positives ... Those that could change the future ....I'm in it to the end ... But what should I really expect ? Consider this. They looked like $#!+ a few games immediately after their losses to Syracuse on the ship and Arizona in Hawaii twice. They recovered in all three instances so this team should also. The recovery should start against Ball State, being that it's the 5th game after Arizona. It should be a beat down, but if they squeak by then expect a Jekyll & Hyde scenario for the rest of the season. |

the ball movement was the best I have seen in a long time.

I think we'll get to see the freshmen the next few games, and Pope desperately needs to see time on the floor in these. Only way to acclimate him to the college game is to play him, and we NEED another scorer. On a side note, Zylans gotta suit up this season, if either of our bigs get hurt (Chol scared me last night) we need him on the boards and for fouls and god willing some easy buckets.
