UNLV is at 128 on KenPom. Just below perennial powers like Hofstra and Vermont. Wow.

It's interesting to see where Utah and BYU are ranked. Utah did go into Provo and get a win. No small feat. That freshman big for Utah is going to be real good.

Pomeroy has us with 8 more dbl digit victories on the docket; so we better have some big wins if we want to see it move up.
Utah looks to be hanging tough, that could give us a nudge as well

A hybrid ranking from these 2 sites of 34.5 from a 24 in one week. If you were forced to bet $100 which would you say the hybrid rating derived from the objective metrics of these 2 sites would produce first? A ranking in the 20s or the 40s?

Teamrankings has gone to a new predictive ranking which takes into account margin of victory which we all know is not a strong suit of this team but I think provides a pretty valuable measuring tool to compare teams objectively. The site also has a bracketology section which seems to be predicting more what the teams will be come MM. It rates us higher than the predictive rating which is more accurate for current productivity.

Pomeroy uses MOV as well, recently (last year or so) he had an article that mentioned how Fisher & SDSU tend to outperform their predictions. Maybe this representative of us not running up scores and as such showing slightly less than we are capable.

UNLV is at 128 on KenPom. Just below perennial powers like Hofstra and Vermont. Wow. They're smart enough to know that UNLV pulls off a big OOC win every year but then underachieves in the MWC. Combine that with a doofus coach and it's a recipe for one and done in the NCAAs at best.

I bet we get left out of this weeks AP Top 25, even with wins over Ball St, UCR and SDCC.

They probably won't see top 25 again this season.
They're not a top 25 team anymore.

And also just incorrect if referring to the ap - $50 bet to Aztec Club? Baylor, TCU, Northern Iowa and CSU don't belong since they haven't played anyone or beat anyone decent. Fish plays a good OOC, USD, BYU, Pitt, Zona, Udub, Cincy and Beach. I'd like to see No Iowa, CSU or even the Big 12 schools play that schedule. I understand the Big 12 schools line up easy 10 wins, since they have to play KU, OU, and Texas. Those teams will fall out of the top 25.

I don't expect the Zags to lose again this year after winning at BYU. They will dominate the WCC. Who will beat them moving forward USD, St Mary's, Santa Clara? I don't see it. They are solid all the way around Pangos plays like Stockton.

They are solid all the way around Pangos plays like Stockton. The Zags offense is so efficient with so many weapons. After withstanding that barrage at BYU I would totally agree with you barring injury they may go undefeated in conference.

CSU's schedule hasn't been that tough but they did finish non-conference play at 13-0, so I think they do deserve a spot in the top 25.
As far as the AP Poll, pretty shortsighted to think we won't get back considering SDSU is currently 27th (and therefore only need to go up 2 spots). I could see us returning after this week (Air Force / at Fresno State) or the following week (New Mexico) as I expect them to win all 3 games. Compare that to CSU who plays Boise St, at New Mexico, Wyoming at Air Force during the next 2 weeks. They could certainly drop below us with any of those being losses.
