A few things:
1) As mentioned by standiego, Agnew's junior year stats were MUCH better....200/316 passing for 3,195 yards and 29 TDs and 7 INTS. Rushed 176 times for 1,257 yards and 20 TDs.
2) Agnew's HS, Carroll High School, is one of the top football programs in Texas and nationally. Always in the mix for a Texas State Title. This season, the Dragons finished 13-1 and, according to Maxpreps, are ranked #4 in Texas and #23 nationally
3) SDSU has done a really nice job this recruiting period getting commits from top Texas schools: RB Juwan Washington (from 12-1 Kennedale HS, lost by 4 points in the UIL State Football Championship Game), RB Jatory Sparks Brown (from 10-2 DeSoto HS, lost by 3 in the UIL State Football Championship Game), and now Agnew (from 13-1 Carroll HS, lost in the UIL State Football Championship Game to Allen HS)

He is vary accurate and does not get rattled, runs his progressions and spreads itr around. Is a dangerous runner as well.

Sounds like another hidden gem. Not a prototypical specimen (typical P5 conference recruit), size wise but very productive nevertheless.

Made the error of asking about him on the main board, had my hand slapped. I hope he turns out to be the top notch guy we need, thanks for all the good info.

For those of you that can correctly analyze , what system would work best for him , spread , pro or ? The answer to that is, it all depends on Ryan Agnew and his mentality. Just the short video of this guy, I think he will make a good Pro-style QB after being exposed to the system. he makes his reads, and likes to throw, but can take off and scramble from pressure or on a broken play. I'm not a coach or expert by any means, but the main basic difference is a pro-style QB is a throw 1st QB that can scramble as needed, but Always looks to throw 1st. (Think Payton Manning, Aaron Rodgers) A Spread QB almost always lines up in shotgun and is a run 1st type of QB, sort of a second RB that can throw, but will usually take off the 1st opening or sign of pressure rather then wait for a receiver to get open. Most Spread guys are extremely reliant on running and using athletic ability over using their head and reading the defense or going through their progressions. The 1st sign of trouble, they will take off rather than stay calm, think in the pocket and look for the 3 or 4th check down. This is why Spread QB's are failing in the NFL. An NFL defense is way to fast for a spread QB to effectively run, and the Spread QB has not learned the more mental aspect of how to go through progressions, read defenses and find the weak spots and haven't refind their spacial awareness of what is happening on the field.
