What about Jordan McLaughlin, wasn't he on our radar. Seems to be one 'SCs best players. I think he'd be at SDSU if Bland stayed. Yup, forgot about that. Can't complain as Hutson has being doing great since he returned.

Hutson will be a target for a HC or Ass HC job by end of season. Like Bland, the money is out there for him. If we lost him, recruiting and defensive is set back. Thank god for Fish's extension.

Lets review the players who passed on SDSU and where they are today. Would we want any of these guys back? 2013 Isaac Hamilton UTEP to UCLA SG 6'5 185, red shirted one year he's not coming. Darin Johnson Washington SG 6'4 190 hardly gets off the bench in Seattle, played with D'Erryl and D Allen at Sheldon HS. Take a chance? Roschon Prince USC to CSULB SF 6'5 200 I assume we passed on him and he went to Beach Noah Allen UCLA 6'6 195 SF, I would take him, although he hasn't put up numbers at UCLA yet John Matthews Cal 6'3 185 PG, pass we have Zabo and Kell Dion Wade Auburn 6'7 180 SF, not on the Auburn roster, Findlay Prep kid who disappeared. 2014 Shaqquan Aaron Louisville 6'7 175 Wing, hasn't played this year, athlete !! Daniel Hamilton Uconn 6'6 175 SG, having a banner year at UConn and isn't moving back to Cali. Isaiah Bailey Fresno St 6'5 175 SF/ SG hurt, I think we passed in favor of the best class ever. Pope/Z/Zabo/Trey. 2015 Pflueger, Walker, Aflakpui, Thompson, Barefield & Grimes. Any of those guys with second thoughts? maybe EA? Honestly, I don't see any of these past recruits coming to Aztec Mesa. I am curious about Aaron from Louisville and Allen out of UCLA both would fit into the scheme well. Thoughts! Feedback, or just plain trash talking? C'mon lets hear it. Interesting-this thread I wrote back in Dec 2014 focused on Shaqquan Aaron (transferred to USC) and Noah Allen of UCLA. We recruited Aaron hard last year; but got a better player in Teki. And today Allen left UCLA for Univ of Hawai'i. Both players recruited by SDSU transferred out. I assume that Allen may have looked at SDSU before committing to U of H. Both Aaron and Allen left their programs for a second option, the writing was on the wall two years ago. Ill go out on a limb that Aflakpui will consider leaving the east coast for sunnier weather.

Even though it may be ancient history, will EA reappear in bounce back talk?

I thought Allen was an idiot for going to UCLA - could have been a key contributor at SO many other schools. Hawaii is interesting, considering they're ineligible for post season play. But given their roster & it's high turnover (5 new players), he'll get PT. Just a surprising move for a grad transfer to go somewhere he has no chance at playing in mid-March??
Touching on a couple more - Johnson should get lots of shots at CSN this year, and Barefield also transferred from SMU to Utah, and will be eligible mid-year.
Players are hopping all over the place.
Meanwhile, the only scholarship player we've lost in years is Zabo, which says a lot about the state of our program.

Confirmation on Allen to Hawaii, leaves UCLA with 13 scholarships. Unless they sign one more and Dad makes Byrce walk-on.

LaBradford also transferred out a few years ago. Don't forget James Johnson either...but, yes, it says a lot about our program that the only guys the transfer out are because they are buried at the end of the bench. Can't remember the last time someone from our top 8-9 rotation transferred out.

couple of things some recruits learn . Going to a P5 school looks great when you sign but coaches at those schools will go out and recruit right over you ,if they can land a better player even in the same recruiting class, they will Those coaches know they are on the hot seat and it is win now .
We have still had difficulties getting high quality guys from HS to come here that play the 5 . Nolan could be our best offensive 5 in a long while, Skylar incredible on D but not the best on offense .
Johnson came here as a transfer hope at the 5 - definitely a reach . Garrett Green also a reach as grad transfer trying to fill a need at the 5 . Malcolm , transfer /JC was probably the best at the 5 for a transfer . His friend T . Shelley transferred in then transferred out .
