Lets review the players who passed on SDSU and where they are today. Would we want any of these guys back?
2013 Isaac Hamilton UTEP to UCLA SG 6'5 185, red shirted one year he's not coming. Darin Johnson Washington SG 6'4 190 hardly gets off the bench in Seattle, played with D'Erryl and D Allen at Sheldon HS. Take a chance? Roschon Prince USC to CSULB SF 6'5 200 I assume we passed on him and he went to Beach Noah Allen UCLA 6'6 195 SF, I would take him, although he hasn't put up numbers at UCLA yet John Matthews Cal 6'3 185 PG, pass we have Zabo and Kell Dion Wade Auburn 6'7 180 SF, not on the Auburn roster, Findlay Prep kid who disappeared.
2014 Shaqquan Aaron Louisville 6'7 175 Wing, hasn't played this year, athlete !! Daniel Hamilton Uconn 6'6 175 SG, having a banner year at UConn and isn't moving back to Cali. Isaiah Bailey Fresno St 6'5 175 SF/ SG hurt, I think we passed in favor of the best class ever. Pope/Z/Zabo/Trey.
2015 Pflueger, Walker, Aflakpui, Thompson, Barefield & Grimes. Any of those guys with second thoughts? maybe EA?
Honestly, I don't see any of these past recruits coming to Aztec Mesa. I am curious about Aaron from Louisville and Allen out of UCLA both would fit into the scheme well.
Thoughts! Feedback, or just plain trash talking? C'mon lets hear it.

What about Marcus Lee? He gets 15 minutes a game, only scores 2.9 points a contest. I would not draft him if I were an NBA team, he does not play enough. Would be perfect to get him on the transfer to start play in 2016!

Will be interesting to see re. Marcus Lee. I wouldn't think that only 15 mins/game (likely to go down during conference play) isn't enough to really make a case for NBA scouts. He'd be welcome to make himself a star on The Mesa. He & Cage Jr. would make a nice pairing in the frontcourt for 16-17. (Sadly for us, I could see BOTH being 1st round NBA picks after that season)

You mean Jordan Matthews? The kid can light it up. He is a streaky shooter with a quick trigger like Tapley, but much more athletic.
Daniel Hamilton would have been amazing here at SDSU. Him and Winston? Agh, oh well, hope he does well at UConn and in the league.
Kentucky just has too much talent on its bench for Marcus. AND his ability to run the court fits in well with the Aztecs. Wiltjer transferred out of UK to Gonzaga to get some playing time and is lighting it up. Zags are gooood this year.

Marcus Lee had a great March run last year. He practices against the very best college talent every single day. He is already on every NBA teams radar.
How exactly would a transfer to SDSU help his draft ranking?

How exactly would a transfer to SDSU help his draft ranking? What if his minutes dip below 10/game after the first of the year (wouldn't be uncommon for bench players)? Would he likely be viewed as a first-round draft pick? I lottery pick? If yes, great for him. If not, a "showcase" year at SDSU could lift him from a 2nd round pick to lottery.

Actually Johnson plays quite a bit for UW, certainly more minutes then Allen & Williams

Marcus Lee will get drafted, highly doubt he redshirts. If for some crazy reason he wanted to transfer, and to SDSU of all places, that would be great and he would be a major, major talent in the MWC. Just don't see it happening. Daniel Hamilton will be a pro within the next 2 years, no need for him to go anywhere. He might even be a 1 and done with his skillset and potential. Unless he gets hurt, no way he stays there more than 2 years.
Surprised DJ isn't playing more at UW. Thought he was a pretty good player but highly doubt we would even want him if he were to transfer at this point.

We are losing O'Brien, Polee, Quinn, and likely Shepard after this season. That brings us down to 9 players, plus the addition of Jones and Hemsley - 11 guys. I would be somewhat shocked at this point if D'Erryl Williams didn't transfer out, unless he is fine being a practice guy on scholarship for his whole career. Nothing wrong with that either, but athletes are competitive and they all want to play.
I think Dakarai might even consider it, but would be smart to stay as the wing positions open up a lot next year with Polee/Quinn leaving (and likely Shepard) and no new ones coming in.

His minutes could drop to < 5 per game... and it wouldn't change his draft status. Trying to evaluate a Kentucky player based on minutes played is just silly. He may be the 3rd or 4th best big on Kentucky but that still makes him the 5th, 6th or 7th best big in the entire country. His 'showcase' was March Madness last year... as well as attending any sort of draft combine and simply being 'measured' by NBA scouts.

Actually Johnson plays quite a bit for UW, certainly more minutes then Allen & Williams Johnson is averaging 12 min and 2.7 pts a game for Washington so far this season. Allen is averaging 10.7 min and 2.8 pts a game for us so far this year. I think if Allen decides to stay at SDSU next season both of those numbers will go up quite a bit, even if he's still a backup. By the time he is a senior he will be a beast!

Agree, I think Allen has way more upside then Johnson. Hope they both get on the court together on Sunday!

In case y'all didn't know, Dion Wade, the former Findlay Prep & Auburn commit/player, transferred to Miami (OH) and will sit out this season.
