Lots of reasons to be concerned.
Terrible showing tonight. Just turrible.
JJ'O never shows up in these kinds of games, but Spencer?
No rebound, No assist, 1 point, 1 block.
Should've stayed in bed.

I was hoping our upperclassmen would show up down the stretch but nothing really happened.

Not a good stats night for sure but he altered a lot of shots and caused a lot of missed shots for AZ just because they knew he was in there.

All this talk about his improvement offensively?. He is pretty much the same player he was his freshman year

What's worse is that ESPN seems to be completely frozen on Sean Miller's close-up for the past 5 minutes.
At least the Cox suckers waited until the end of the game to kill our cable.

Hoping for more out of JJ, Sky, and Fish with Malik, we could have used another offensive option tonight.

JJ had 3 points in 31 minutes, Pope had 3 points in 2 minutes... Even though JJ is the "Glue" he needed to sit on the bench. This one really hurts! I think Fisher was out coached tonight.

We are going to have so many options on offense, that I'm not worried at all about Sky on offense. Yes, would have been helpful in the game but we won't be playing the #3 team in the country every night. If Sky can give us 4-5 blocks per night and play good help defense, I'll be very happy. Not everyone on the team has to an offensive weapon.

For a guy who can block shots with either hand he should shoot foul shots with both hands. His FG form is worst than a 9 year old in a rec league. He lost the game with what 2 for 6 or 2 for 8 from the free throw line. He didn't even get to his nose bleed 45% average. End of the game sit him. He takes away doesn't add value.

Pope isn't ready to play against this level of competition right now. Maybe you guys missed it but our defense played pretty well. What did their big guy end up with, 3 points and 1 rebound? We had too many missed opportunities, turnovers and missed free throws to overcome and you can't put all that on JJ and Spencer (other had issues of having shots blocked and turning the ball over) For myself, I wish I could have seen more of JJ last night, especially on those two back to back inbounds we couldn't get in.

Pope also had one turnover in 2 minutes which would, by your reasoning, equate to 15 had he played as long as JJ.

I have only one issue with Skyler and to some degree with the coaching. His free throw style has not changed or improved over 3 years. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is the definition of.........

Unless the practices by the coaches include Sky and Chol in the offense instead of having to be the ball screener for everyone else ,it is hard to have our centers feel they are an option on the coaches . Need more movement passes and less of the ball screen offense . Sky's job was to neutralize their big guy , who had been scoring for them . until the coaches make a concentrated effort to include him in practice and the game. Ashley dominated JJ , JJ has trouble with quality big guys and very quick PF's . At the end of the game he does need to subbed out and move Shepard to C , when we are on offense.

Last year he had a lot of lateral movement during his shot. This year that is gone but he is shooting the ball with mostly his wrists.

Spencer really needs to take it on himself to improve. At the least, crank that motor up a notch. It is still early in the season, but he looked like a boy that was outworked and outmuscled by a group of men. The aggressiveness and tenacity of Josh Davis won't be replaced this year, but hopefully Spencer doesn't leave it up to the guards and SFs to battle on the boards.
