Sterk mentioned the other day we got the MGC to sign off on the pecking order for the Bowls that the conf sends teams to -- in other words no political BS or favortism.
Where you finish determines where you go.
Having said that, I don't know what the order is and where we stand ..can anyone elaborate?

From everything I have read, if we win it looks like we'd see Navy in the Poinsettia Bowl.

The P bowl said that if we get 7 wins that they plan on taking us. Looks like the P bowl. Unless Hawaii beats Fresno and we win the MW championship game then we will go to the LV bowl.

It is hard to find MWC bowl affiliations with details, I think it is the following:
MWC First Pick: Las Vegas Bowl
MWC Second Pick: Poinsettia Bowl - Unless the Big 12 isn't able to fill all of its bowl tie ins, then the Cactus Bowl would take the No. 2 pick among the MWC.
MWC 3-5 Pick: Hawaii Bowl, New Mexico Bowl, New Orleans Bowl - The MWC tries to make all 3 bowls happy and send them a regional match-up
MWC 6th Pick: Potato Bowl
Also we could have 7 bowl slots if the MWC Champion gets picked up by one of the higher tier bowls
It is looking like the MWC will have 6 bowl eligible teams (7 if Fresno wins out) Colorado St. 10-1 Boise St. 9-2 Utah St. 9-3 Air Force 8-3 San Diego St. 6-5 Nevada 6-5 Fresno St 5-6
We are too far down the list for the Ponto Bowel. New Mexico or Potato more likely.

If Boise St goes to the Vegas Bowl the Ponto will pick Colorado St. If Boise goes to higher bowl, Colorado St. to Vegas Bowl, then Ponto will pick between us, Utah St, and AF. Still a lot to play out but I'd be surprised if they pick SDSU over a 9 win team.

I hope all the players read that so they know what you think of them.

Does Air Force have a chance to get invited to the Military Bowl, which would leave 6 teams for 6 slots?

All projections I saw have SDSU in Paint Bowl against UTEP in ALBQ or vs Ohio U in Potato. 7 wins is not enough to get Poinsettia Bowl and this team is not as good as our last Potato Bowl team. espn.go.com/college-football/bowls/projections

I am hoping for the Las Vegas Bowl. Isn't everyone else?
Poinsettia Bowl is no fun for the players because they are still in their hometown and stadium, but I would take Poinsettia Bowl over the cold Potato Bowl and loser New Mexico Bowl.

Stephanie Loh spoke with the guy and he pretty much said if we finish 7-5, they would want us to play Navy. The only bowl with a priority for MWC schools over that of the Poinsettia is the LV Bowl which will take the conference champion if that champion doesn't get the G5's Access Bowl slot or if that happens would take the MWC's next best team and the chances of either one being SDSU are slim and none. The only other bowl which might enter the equation is the Cactus Bowl if Oklahoma State loses to Oklahoma but that bowl isn't going to take us either except in the unlikely event Boise goes to the Access Bowl and the LV Bowl then takes CSU. Even then the Cactus would be more likely to take AFA than us if they're available. So assuming we win on Saturday, unless Fresno loses to Hawaii and we therefore go to the conference title game and pull off a huge upset of Boise, Binkowski is not only going to want us, he's going to be available to take us. Of course, he could have been deceiving Stephanie and SDSU fans when he heavily implied that his bowl game would take a 7-5 SDSU, but is the guy really that dumb? Finally, there is an outside chance we could end up in the Paint Bowl even if we win Saturday but no way in hell will we return to the Potato Bowl with a 7-5 record this year. Not a chance in the world and any pundit who says so is clueless. Edit: Forgot to add this. Why on earth would the Poinsettia Bowl want Utah State when the Aggies played in that bowl just last year? Stoopid. Dum.
