Calvin for president! What a dominant performance by a SOPHOMORE who has virtually made us forget about the very good Derek Largent and the oft injured Jake Fely. Add that Alex Barrett, our arguably best DL of the season, watched from the sidelines made this dominant performance, stuffing AF vaunted running attack, even more impressive. Christian Heyward has finally arrived as well Point being, watching this very young defense full of RsF, Sophs last night gives me great hope and expectations for next year. We lose Whitaker, Onuahu, Meredith and Gavert, but we have much talent and depth at all those positions. Brandon Porter is very athletic, hits hard and can only get much better. His early jump on what could have been an INT cost us a TD, but I like the way he plays with swagger. Collectively the young Defense gave us some big plays and seemed to doubt themselves at times this year but next season I do believe they will be able to compete with even Penn State and Cal. Hope you thoughtful and discerning viewers saw what I saw last night as we head toward another bowl game and all the benefits that come with that.

Giving up 140 on the ground to AF was a great effort.

Rocky definitely knows how to scheme for the triple option teams. Too bad there aren't more (any?) QUALITY OOC opponents we can schedule for future games to help us improve our national standing.
