This kid was a surprise with Fely being out. We should be rock steady for the next couple years.

Right now concern is not if he is an NFL player . It is if as a college LB,if he knows where to position himself on plays, get to the QB or RB on a blitz , plug a hole in the gap on a run , drop into the correct place on coverage , read the QB , wrap up on a tackle , hang on the ball on an INT , cause fumbles , cover his lanes on a rush . Yes it looks good if the play comes your way and not much is said if it goes the other way , worse if you get caught out of position . So you want to good and lucky ,or be smart and create your luck , by your reads . Does he continue to improve ,? depends on how hard he works at it and takes advantage of his opportunities. Same as most players .

He may have been lucky the balls came his way to allow him to intercept them.
However, he's deflecting the fact he was in perfect position to get the opportunity to make plays and he makes good on most of those opportunities. Being prepared when to get an opportunity is by far the vast majority of work. The ability to take advantage of those opportunities is a culmination of that hard work.
So long story short. Lucky my rear end. That's hard work paying off. I love seeing that in a linebacker.

Positioning, spying, watching the qb and how he does his reads/tells, etc. I agree, lucky my big pink arse... Sent from my Admiral Mark 01 Telegraph machine via Sputnik with dial-up
