What is going on in San Jose? They are ranked #49 in the nation for their 2015 football recruiting class. They by far are #1 in the MWC. 24 commits, 18 are 3-star or better (source: 24/7 Sports) and compared to Boise St and San Diego St combined have landed more 3 star athletes. If you look further most of these kids are coming from LA, Riverside and SD county. They are stocking up. What gives? There class is equal to Rutgers, Mizzou, Iowa and Baylor and ahead of Utah, Michigan, Florida, Cal.... BSU is ranked #80 and were at #84 between UT -San Antonio and Houston.

I am sure they are all nice kids, but not going to be working at Google, Apple, Oracle, EA or AMD.

I have no idea why all of a sudden a bunch of three star recruits would want to play there in their rinky dink football/soccer stadium.

Donte Williams is part of the reason. He might be a hotter name now than Tony White as far as a coach for a Power 5 school to steal away.

What 2000 said. The chances of Williams being at SJSU a year from now are slim and none.

According to Rivals, SJSU has 21 commits, and 8 of them are three stars. sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/teamrank/2015/MWEST/allI'm surprised at the discrepancy in the star rankings between Rivals and 24/7. It's also odd that the total number of commits is different. 247sports.com/Season/2015-Football/CompositeTeamRankings?Conference=M-WestIn any event, I believe Rivals and 24/7 team rankings are based on points, which is a function of the total number of commits. SJSU has 21 (or 24) commits, several more than the next closest team (us with 15), thus they have the most points. But I do agree that the Spartans seem to be putting together a nice class.

I am not buying the 24/7 ratings either, however, they are putting together a very nice draft class for a G5 school and even for a mid tier P5 school.

I would rather have our class too many smaller guys, stars are not all that. One guys is a two star here a three star there. NO 6'2 lineman and they have acouple. Guys 5'9 dbs etc.

We have to out recruit every one in the Mountain. We have to dominate to get separation. We have to dominate and be the top of the on top 5.
If it comes to paying athletes San Jose will not be able too.

I wonder how many of their recruits watched Hawaii beat San Jose ( was the game in san Jose ?) If so was it the first road win for Hawaii in a couple of years in the MW ?

So if our AZTECS whoop up on the Spartans this Saturday, do we see any De-commits coming down to Southern Cali and putting on the Red & Black instead? That could be pretty cool.
