Save for one year the Faulk era wasn't as well attended as some on here make it seem. Maybe the reduced seating (about 54k seats versus 70k today) made it seem more attended than it was?

I forgot how well games were attended in 2011. You see, we do not have an attendance problem. We have a stadium problem.

Completely agree. The way some posters here remember it there were 45,000 people in the seats every game for Faulk's entire time here. It looks like that really only happened one year and the numbers were inflated by the 53k that were at the USC game. You could probably get 53K to any USC game played here any year because at least 1/2 would be USC fans. So the attendance was really not all that great during the Faulk era.

We could end with one of our highest averages. We still have the sky show, AFA, San Jose State, and possibly the Poinsettia Bowl.
I wonder how much we would draw against San Jose State if the Aztecs either win out or only lose at Boise State and San Jose State wins out or only loses one game (but beats Fresno State). That would make that last game a contest for the Western Division Title and the right to play in the MWC Championship Game.

People forget about Andrew Childs though. He was a great receiver. Another one that gets lost is Damon Gourdine. I was a little kid going to the games but I remember him returning punts/kickoffs for touchdowns.
