We will need to complete a few more passes than usual I would think. What is the news on Ruffin? How is QK feeling these days?

Reno will not score 30 points, if we score more than 28 points we win.

Reno will not score 30 points, if we score more than 28 points we win. We have only scored more than 28 points against a FBS opponent once and it was UNLV. We will need to hold them to 21 or less.

Reno will not score 30 points, if we score more than 28 points we win. I'll take the "under" 28 points all day long.... To win, we'll have to keep Fajardo from doing any damage, and keep Nevada from scoring more than 18 points. JMHO....

You have to remember they have one of the worst pass defenses in the country. It will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes. To me our biggest problem is our poor red zone offense if we lose that will likely be the killer.

WWTDB & LOS. Who Wins Third Down Battles and controls the Line Of Scrimmage . Their QB can not make plays if he is constantly being chased and our guys need to open holes for DP and protect QK .

I think if we can limit Fajardo somewhat we'll be ok. He's a better runner than thrower. Our OL is the key. They have been a pleasant surprise this year and have to take over in the second half. I have faith in our defense to not give up long gains. Hope for fair and balanced officiating.

Every team needs a breakout game and I expect that this is our "Breakout" game. Aztecs 35-14

Going for it on 4th down seems to help our cause in Reno.

Nevada's most dangerous weapon is Fajardo (duh). However, what makes him dangerous is his mobility. The strength of our defense is front-7(or 6) mobility. I think this will allow SDSU to minimize Fajardo much more than other teams. An average day from Fajardo = 10-17 points from Nevada.

The Aztecs have a weak passing game with an injured QB and the young receivers. This helps to hide SJSU's weak pass defense.
Best hope is to force Cody to run a lot and neutralize him with defensive speed.

Reno weather forecast for game day, high of 50 during the day, low of 28 at night and windy. Ground, pound and play D. Not an ideal situation for QK throwing the ball in the wind and cold.
