www.mwcconnection.com/2014-mountain-west-football/2014/10/22/7036711/san-diego-state-football-defense-is-the-driving-force-of-the-2014-15-aztecsIs there any doubt that this Aztec defense is the best in over a decade? No, several decades? No, all they way back into the 70s? Speed, depth, toughness -- its all there. 18+ ppg allowed is one impressive stat. Now, vs. the best QB we'll face the rest of the year by far, we shall see it we are for real. If there ever is time for the expertise of Rocky and his staff to put a plan in place to allow us to hang tough and win @ UNR, the time is here. I can't wait to see the scheme they come up with as Fajardo is the only thing standing in the way of us winning MWC West and playing on Dec. 6th.

Mannion is better than Fajardo, IMO. UNC's offense is better than UNR's, and OSU's defense has shown over the course of the year to have the best defense we have seen. UNR is a solid club, but we have seen better in silos. Is UNR the best thus far? I would give it to OSU, but UNR is a tough out.

This is going to be a great conference game for SDSU...by looking at both teams statistically, I would say SDSU and Nevada are almost evenly matched with SDSU having a stronger defense and Nevada having the upper hand on offense. No this won't be a "program changing" game but it will give us an indication of how SDSU is going to do throughout the remainder of the season.

I expect another crazy, close game like we had there two (or was it four?) years ago. Hopefully we can pull out another W like we did in that one.

Nevada is terrible against the pass,122nd Jamming the box is pretty risky for them, the big thing line play and turnovers. Since the UA game Fajardo since the Uof A games has a 57 percent completion percentage and 6 TD's against 5 ints. During that time he has rushed for 270 yards and seven touchdowns carry's averaging six yards a carry. The key is beating him up that was CSU plan and it worked. Every time he carry's clobber him.

the Nevada QB is good . As we all know you also need an OL that can block and WR's that can run routes and catch the ball . Our guys on D are going to need to "hurry " him and contain him . Our OL needs to dominate for DP and QK . As usual what line wins the battles on both sides of the ball .
