The CBSS booth mentioned he was only eleven yards shy of becoming the 6th rusher in D1 with 1K+ yards. Given the elephantine memory of sports media, an Aztec rusher putting up Top-whatever numbers in D1 is sure to shine some additional spotlight on the program, and provides a nice storyline to accompany going bowling for the 5th-straight year.

For those that listen to uncle teddy, Kirk Morrison and Ehlo on 1090's radio of the game...i habe to applaud Morrison's pasionate words postgame in support of following in this running attack style and facing the reality that this is our bread and butter.
Pumphrey, Price and Stamps without a doubt are our strength behind the O line. Now its up to Toledo to continue to get creative in how we use the #7 leading rusher in football.

And in two games Aztecs play Idaho at home. Idaho is 1-6 and give up on average 264.4 yards per game and 6.3 yards per carry. Pumphrey if he can get to 100 yards against Nevada could easily lead the nation in rushing.

Of that top 7, he has the 3rd highest yards per carry too. He's a good one

I try to listen but it's not on the internet. It was for one or two games, but then nothing. What college/university that considers itself a major player makes it impossible for people to listen to the game? San Diego State is, sadly, a small-time team that is promoted poorly. GoAztecs.com provides a link to a non-existent radio stream.
