Wow Malcolm's block on Gordon was amazing. Can't understand why no one gives him a chance. He destroys the NBDL and has a 40% 3 point shot now. Whats up with teams? He is a true shot blocker and his height matters little because his arms are longer than average.

The way basketball recruiting is going for the Aztecs these top 10 lists might look a lot different by the time Coach Fisher retires.

With the basketball season fast approaching, the Oracle thought it would be fun to list the top 10 players under Fisher's teams here at SDSU. Without further adieu here is the Oracle's 10 ten. 1. Kawhi Leonard (this one was easy) 2. Xavier Thames 3. Randy Holcomb 4. Marcus Slaughter 5. Brandon Heath 6. Jamaal Franklin 7. Mohammed Abukar 8. Aerick Sanders 9. DJ Gay 10. Billy White The Oracle's rational for this list was mostly focused on how much value they had at SDSU with some consideration as to their professional careers. The top 7 (excluding Xavier because this is his rookie year) had decent professional careers here and overseas. You may notice that Malcolm is not on this list. The Oracle's rational here is that Malcolm has become significantly better after graduation. I give him a lot of credit for working very hard to become a boarder line NBA player. My knock on Malcolm while at SDSU was that he did have times where he disappeared and blended with the supporting cast. Plus, it was hard to make a good argument that despite his talents, he provided more value than the players ranked 6-10. If any of the players are reading this. This is all for fun. Players like Malcolm/Lo Wade/Spain/Faux/Tapley all are fantastic players and were major contributors while at SDSU. What's your list. Discuss. Good grief, I'm trying to figure out how to argue with your list, because that is how we roll here on Aztec Mesa, but I have failed. Nice job.

Here's mine ... I try to combine skill and importance to the program 1. KL - He's the gift that keeps on giving. Plus, he's made the NBA fun again 2. Holcomb - Put SDSU back on the map. When he was drafted, it was surreal. 3. Jamaal - Bridged the gap between KL and the top 10 recruiting class. He was a GREAT college bball player 4. X - A Sweet 16 without the NBA Finals MVP. 5. Bottoms - Winning MW Championships, amazing story, and some NBA love. 6. C Tap - Most wins in program history, opened the Sacramento pipeline. 7. T. Bland - Started the SDSU transfer movement, gave SDSU a foothold in LA, great assistant coach. 8. Slaughter - MW championships, great oversees career. Proved you can make millions by coming to SDSU. 9. Shelton - Winner, rap game, united the city with his music, brought national attention. Great ambassador. 10. Walton - Props to bagtec. He's right, Chris' signing here was huge. ^ this. 11. Shepard - 1st heralded elite recruit to come straight to the mesa. Plus i think he is a big factor in an upcoming highly successful season or 2.
