I have in the last month attempted to make contact with SDSU staff with questions..
One was to compliance about myself being a booster, having a D1 capable recruitable kid, and an Aztec alum who is also a booster wanting to sponsor our team. I asked whether this was something I should avoid.... never got a response. You'd think this would have raised some eyebrows. Fortunately in my conversations with a Coach of another school in the MWC my question was answered, they had their compliance person reach out to me and answered all my questions. They won some major points with my program, SDSU....not so much.
Second, sent a message to the SDSU women's staff about my future D1 player, class of 16, along with a general attempt that I always do to build relationships with college coaching staffs for the benefit of my kids, and I got no response. You would think that when a high school coach contacts you, you would make an effort, but no, not even a simple thank you.
I got responses from UCLA, USC, UConn, Texas, and a host of other schools.....
Disappointed right now.

That sucks. But, maybe that's their way of answering your question?

A very plausible one.

Just because you reach out to the program you expect a response? If you are a booster and have the questions you asked I imagine they would distance themselves from it. It opens up a can of worms with way too much gray area. Why can't you influence kids to attend SDSU without having the school know?
Curious, are you a booster for the other programs you contacted? I suspect not, so the playing field is different. I wouldn't hold it against the program as I think your intentions are good but more than likely not welcomed since you are a booster. Boosters & recruits don't mix.
I personally have contacted the men's and women's golf coaches several times about kids I have seen around my area that have a ton of talent and must say I had quite some dialogue with them. I don't support the program's financially so I believe that's why they had no problems communicating with me. I coached some high school teams and had my eye on some kids since Jr high and they really improved year over year and showed a tremendous upside.

Questions: 1). Have you gone to goaztecs.com? 2). There are 5 compliance contacts in the directory, have you reached out to one of the compliance contacts 3). Have you submitted a recruiting questionnaire for football and women's basketball? 4). For football, have you checked which coach is responsible for the recruiting geo and position your kid is interested? Did you send email to that coach?

Always the chance they've caught wind of your attempts to classify yourself a program "insider" and want to distance themselves from your misinformation.

Aztecs always play hard to get. Kinda like when a girl pretends you are not there. It's an old recruiting trick.

Don't know how you reached out or to where...or what they received on their end? I'm happy to pick up a phone for you if needed. Let me know in private though.

Just asking?9w/in any Track record of "breaking" recruiting news, only to back track once the info proves erroneous. Claims some ties to the program, but what viable source (w/in any program) would share info with the town crier?
