Grand Canyon University.
UNM has played them home and home and their fans wondered why. I do too. Why give them a home and home?

Grand Canyon University. UNM has played them home and home and their fans wondered why. I do too. Why give them a home and home? Because it's still an probable win, it's low on travel costs, we don't have to pay any money for the game, and it let's us promise any potential Arizona recruits that we'll have a game in their state. My guess is we'll see them quite often over the next decade.

Ratings of recruits . 2015- There are zero recruits in the top 150 from AZ per Rivals and zero in top 100 of ESPN . top recruit was Kuiper 3* going to the Lobos 2016 Mitch Lightfoot #136 is from AZ ,also verbal to Lobo Land .
Do we have Kansas here and Cincy for 2015-16 season OOC ? Still think the MW and WCC should have a challenge series .Where #1 plays #1 , #2 vs #2 ...... or top 4 teams from each conference play in a West T for OOC

In general true, but definitely have a few every year who are pretty highly regarded. Cheatham for one. Stanford signed a kid out of Phoenix last year as well, and Jahii Carson was a terrific player. Nearly half ASU's roster is local. May not be LA, Vegas or even Seattle, but given its population & relative distance to SD it's WELL worth going there at least every other year. I know they're committed to making their hoops program legit, and they are willing to invest to make it happen. Not sure how a 2k seat arena allows them to pay out much, but maybe they see this as a game to sell & promote at US Airways Arena instead? Could be their "big draw" game that helps put them further on the map. Thunder Dan would be happy. Plus, a terrific road trip for the fans!

All I know about them is that their head coach is Dan Majerle.

That for-profit label cracks me up. Like a school exists not to profit. hahahha
I love this only because I live about 30 minutes from GCU.

Anyway, when you play a home and home neither school pays the other any money.

New Athletic Director Mike Vaught from SMU has secured a home and home with SDSU and Louisville. I am not sure why Fish would commit to GCU, I get the USD, Point Loma, SDCC and St. Kate's game in SD. There's got to be more to it then that. It's not like Las Vegas where BB has top HS players and schools. This is a head scratcher.
