La Canada (Calif.) St. Francis linebacker John Carroll attended San Diego State's home game against UNLV, and at the time, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect wasn't even aware that he was on SDSU's recruiting list. He was clueless, in fact. (Story from Ruben Meza.)
The 6'3 LB also plays TE and is ranked #21 by 24/7 Sports. He has offers from UNLV and interest from Oregon, Cal, U of A, USC, UCLA, Mizzou and Sac St and SJSU.

I went to CV, La Canada kids are soft Hahaha. I can agree with your statement about La Canada area (rich) kids, but I went to the St. F vs Monrovia game earlier in the season. They have some very athletic kids. Carroll is one of 'em. He stood out to me. I'm currently living in the CV. Your Falcons are 6-0. I'm probably checking out their game this Friday vs. Hoover. SDSU should invite falcon QB, Brain Gadsby to walk-on. www.hudl.com/athlete/2566497/highlights/99866220

Gadsby is a stud but has a full ride baseball schollie to UCLA. Played against a good LC tight end in 83. Guy went on to be an All American at BYU and played a while in the NFL. I think his name was Smith. Carroll sounds like a stud

I think his name was Smith. Carroll sounds like a stud Gadsby should definitely take that full ride baseball schollie to UCLA. From what I've read in the local papers, this is his only year starting at QB. And from what you can see on Hudl, his f-ball highlights are limited even though the season is at the midway point now. So unless he continues to have a spectacular season, CVHS Falcons go all the way, I doubt he'll receive any full ride f-ball scholly offers.

Sports writers from the SGV Tribune and Pasadena Star-News have a prep-sports blog site. They have St. Francis ranked #s 3 & 1, respectively. www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball/www.insidesocal.com/paspreps/

He's tight end at the college level and a very good one. When I saw his highlight reel the speed stood out he might be a weapon on offense as early as next year if rocky really goes to a spread offense.
