My guess is that some of these posters enjoy seeing other people suffer. For what reason I don't know. Some kind of sadistic pleasure in suffering of others. Unfortunately common practices on MOST message boards, or actually the Internet overall. BSU fans will find every opportunity to rip on Peterson whenever he does bad; WSU fans still harbor feelings towards Bennett, who left in 2009. Nothing new - always those who like to stick it to whoever they believe wronged them, whether new, a year ago, or 10 years ago. So true!!! I still harbor ill-will forwards Lee Corso and indirectly Gino Toretta (I know Gino had nothing to do with it) for taking the Heisman from Marshall. It will always bother me that when Gino walks in his house he has that trophy on the mantle when it should have been in the Aztec Athletic Complex!

LTB simply shared an interesting article on Hoke, who is currently all over the national sports news. I fail to see how this shows any "obsession" or harbors any "ill will" toward the man. I suspect my feelings for him reflect those of a good percentage of the Aztec fanbase - didn't really care for the way he left, but understood why he left, still kind of half-rooted for him to do well at Michigan, if only to give SDSU a little positive publicity given his immediate coaching history was here. I think both the 'Hoke-detractors' and 'Hoke-lovers' from our fanbase are overly sensitive, while the majority of us are just "meh", yet still want to find out what the future brings for the dude.

It's relevant because of the people on this board who actually believe that we should bring Hoke back here once he gets his ass canned in MI. To my Aztec friends with said opinion: watch Michigan play a game this year. He's not coming back. Quite frankly, we don't need him. Like I said in another Hoke thread, 24/7 coverage on Brady Hoke on the Aztec Mesa. Come and take your shot at that two-timing liar! How could he leave us high and dry! Argh! I am foaming at the mouth. We were so close. Anybody got a new article on coach Hoke... I am pretty sure there are more. I will dig one up and post it. We need to know every thing this weasel is doing.

I wonder how Lee Corso still has a job with that fleecing of national recognition that he stole from one of the best players to ever play the game. Why does he not have to answer for his crime against humanity? White privilege wins again.

I agree and I've been following his career myself. However, I don't know if the obsession observation necessarily targeted LTB's OP, as there have been no shortage of psycho-ex-like responses regarding the man's post-SDSU career arc.

Who cares?
Sean Peyton used to work for SDSU too.
And a bunch of others.
Move on.

First Hoke is an excellent coach (for a downtrodden program). He is able to instill a blue collar toughness to a program that results in dramatic improvement. What he did at SDSU was impressive. However he is way over his head at Michigan (it's a big boy PR job as much as a football one) He should not have gotten rid of Al Borges, but he had little choice.
Hoke, like many coaches is focused only on winning. Recently he has shown a complete lack of awareness,or worse, integrity.
Michigan lives in the past. The whole "Michigan Man" thing prevents them from getting the best coach. It defies the laws of economics. Rodriguez tried to pull them into the present, but he was quickly sabotaged by the reactionaries within the university.
Harbaugh, Miles are pipe dreams.
