Its Bulldog week for SDSU. Here goes today's press conferences. Very interesting reactions for Coach Rocky on the quarterback status. And even his insight on the Brady Hoke situation.
And even more interesting insight from the players.

How in the heck can you not like Rocky Long? The man says exactly what is on his mind. No BS from him.

In Rocky we trust. The polar opposite of Chuck.

I wish that I had had the foresight to be selling a bumper sticker that said : "CHUCK Chuck".

Never followed Chuck after his firing in 2008, but looking at his bio he was the OC at Kansas in 2011 when coach Gill got fired and now that Gill's successor Charlie Weis just got fired I was wondering if Chuck could be a candidate, but in a list of 10 possible Weis replacements Chuck isn't on the list. It seems he has a football analyst gig somewhere in the Midwest....interesting to follow an ex Iowa QB College Hall of Famer who played for Hayden Fry.

The recruiting has not improved Are you just a BB fan, or do you actually follow SDSU recruiting? Our 2012 recruiting class is one of the best in the past 20 years, we have TONS of contributors from that class.

The 2012 class was ranked 98th by rivals. So I guess by product of its impossible not to improve SDSU has improved the last 2 years.

We may not be getting the 4* guys, but we are getting the guys who fit what we want to do. Look at the length of our LB recruits the last couple of years, look at the size of our OL. We aren't just going to get what's available, we are getting the best at the style we need regardless of rankings or offers.

Steve Fisher was here 8-9 years before we had a consistently dominant, respected program --- and it wasn't until his 10th year that he landed his first 4* recruit here. Football takes even longer to build a program. Rocky is winning. He's doing something no SDSU coach had done (except for Hoke) in 15 years. The naysayers on here are ridiculous!

But 75th by 247Sports which does a much, much better job of following football: sandiegostate.247sports.com/Season/2012-Football/CommitsSpeaking of doing a better job of following football recruiting, my pet peeve has gotten to be people who don't follow this stuff closely at all making rash generalizations. So I went to the trouble that I seem to do every six months of checking my annual Phil Steele's ratings. Since you don't seem to be somebody who would care, I won't bother explaining the Steele's process but along with 247Sports', by any objective measure, it's the best. Here's how Steele's has rated SDSU's last five classes. 2010: outside the national top 75 and fifth in the MWC 2011: outside the national top 75 and fourth in the MWC 2012: 73rd nationally and second in the MWC 2013: 71st nationally and second in the MWC 2014: 74th nationally and second in the MWC The conclusion to be drawn is that folks with no bias and lots more info than you say you're incorrect.

thought it was interesting to note but glad he did ,that Rocky mentioned . Fresno is a team that rarely subs on offense , so our defense may not get to substitute- Rocky likes to rotate guys , they get up to the line very quickly- even quicker then NC and run their play . He also stated that it takes a lot more out of the guys on defense then offense ,little time to rest as they are always having to move towards the ball. Conditioning will be key and making sure they do not have a lot of long drives , that end up with TD's .Trust Toledo knows there will be a lot of crowd noise and our guys can not afford a delay of game penalty ,for game clock . I do not know if there is an incomplete pass if you are allowed to sub if the offense does not sub ?

substitutions have been way down this year for various reasons. D can sub whenever they want...but the O plays hurry, D doesn't have time.

A very interesting interview. And I guess Rocky is wrong because he thinks Fresno is a rival. Imagine that!
