Brady Hoke grabbed second story tonight on ABC Evening News. Not good. His denial reminded me of the Nazi guards who said that they were just following orders. Brady said it was not he but the medical staff that let the kid play. That performance was horrible. He is gone for sure however will he make it to the weekend?

You can sure learn a lot about people by what they choose to post. Some very small people on this forum.

Something that took me a while to learn. But they are best left just talking to a deaf ear while we just go about our business.

"His denial reminded me of the Nazi guards"
Seriously? Someone actually sat down and typed that?

Well, weird comparison, sure.
But Hoke is clearly over his head. He should have been fired after 3 seasons when he finished 7-6 and full of excuses. That team is stacked full of talent that won't play for him. It's really the exact same scenario USC was in a year ago.
Now that the media has a safety story running on him, the heat will end up on the presidents desk. The AD wrote an open letter to fans last year in the Free Press backing Hoke as his guy... which means the real question is who is getting fired first? My guess is Hoke goes first, the AD around Thanksgiving, and the new AD will be in place to pick a coach in early December so they can get on the recruiting trail before it's too late.
Something tells me we're going to see Hoke in the MWC again.

Don't blame the guy for taking his dream job and being 12 million dollar wealthier... It would have taken him more than 15 plus year to make that money @ SDSU... I would take him back at SDSU over Rocky Long in a split second...Hoke was really well liked locally by High School coaches.. Hoke understood what his role here at SDSU was suppose to be... A head coach at SDSU needs to know x's and o, sell tix, be a GM, recruiter, motivator, understand media, have an eye for up and coming assistant coaches, and more than anything have people skill. Hoke will be alright as someone will hire him at the end of season... People from Hawaii, UNLV, WSU, Kansas, NMSU, ball state, Idaho and Purdue will be calling him.....

Yes, let's move on from Rocky and hire a career sub-500 coach who has never won a conf. championship as a HC in 12 years, who is getting fired from a program where he had every possible advantage and has failed beyond miserably, and is the lead story on Good Morning America for 2 days straight for putting an obviously concussed QB back in the game. That will fill the Q. Brilliant. And no, after the dust settles on this cluster f, those programs will not be calling.

Who knows why one coach succeeds at a school and another does not? Sure, some coaches are better at a given school than at others. I guess that RichRod is a good example of someone who should not have been hired (speaking of Mich.), despite the fact that he has been successful at P5 schools both before and after his stay in Ann Arbor. Hoke really did turn a bad Ball State team into a good one, and the same at SDSU. Did he suddenly forget how to coach when he crossed the Michigan border?
It will be a really bad blow to Hoke's ego and psyche if he gets fired from his dream job. Where do you go after your number one aspiration has blown up in your face? Of the possible openings you mention, I would think that BH would say yes to most of them only if he were truly desperate for a job. Purdue might be a possibility, but I wonder whether the Boilermakers would be eager to hire a guy who was just fired by another conference school. Wazzu, maybe. The problem for him is, as I see it, that he will have failed at his only opportunity to coach a P5 program. Would he want to be an assistant, after more than a decade as a head coach?
I do wish he had stayed here, but there was zero chance of that happening. He's not coming back, of that I am sure.
I'm also sure that Michigan fans are awfully hard to please. Remember that Rodriquez was fired after a winning season. It's quite possible that Hoke will finish the season above .500 and still get canned, as well

If he gets fired?? Between the abysmal performance on the field and his handling of the Morris concussion and its aftermath, he and his AD pal are doing damage to the entire Michigan football program that likely will last for years.

Brady helped us out here but he is now in the rear view mirror. Things will work out as they will for Brady and Michigan with or without our help. Lets get on with our own issues and let those guys work on theirs.

While I agree that the program shouldn't look in the rear view, it is totally reasonable for us fans to think about and discuss
