SDSU football still isn't at a P5 level but once they get into the MWC schedule they should be ok. The team should win most of their games from here on out. Better times ahead.

Really? These guys are horrible as is their QB. I would be surprised if they won more than 7 although I hope they do. Who knows? Maybe you are correct.

O.K. I thought you were going to say they could compete with JCs and Pop Warner teams.

SDSU will be ok when playing them. SDSU just can't compete with P5 schools. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that follows SDSU football. If there is a P5 school on the schedule you can pencil that in as an L at the start of the season.

Not saying it is. Just saying that we are not out of it playing the P5 schools. We really miss Enzel and when you compare us to OSU, the big difference is at QB. QK is okay, but he is not the OSU QB level by any means.

Bump this thread after every game. There will always be some excuse.

I sure hope we beat UNLV. The Pollyanna excuses will be wicked if we don't.

Or put another way, "Thank goodness we now play really terrible teams so we can at least win a game or two. Our program is looking up!" Once OSU got their sea legs, they picked us apart tonight.

They didn't get their sea legs. Oregon st sucks. They just played football. You know throw the ball greater than 20 yards, limit interceptions, accurate passing. 28 points is just an average score. We just suck.

Rinse and repeat. Rocky is the perfect guy for us at this level. We will probably end up with 8 regular season wins and a minor Bowl game appearance.
And we will still be in the exact same place we've been in for the last four years. We don't have a Steve Fisher leading this program. We've got a guy who has never, ever done better. He's a solid coach, and he will make sure that this team plays competitively in conference, but Rocky just isn't the coach to elevate this program.
I will be very disappointed if we lose more than one more game. If we do, the season will be a failure - a failure to progress. A failure to improve. Nine regular season wins AND a Bowl win would be OK. Not great, but OK. Eight wins or less in the regular season will be disappointing given where this team has been for the last four years.

We were the better team against UNC and let that game slip away. Oregon State was clearly the better team tonight. Much easier schedule ahead. We won't face anymore NFL caliber QB's. And that linebacker crew is the best will will face as well.
Losing Ruffin has really hurt the offense.
I think 8 or 9 wins is likely.

What gets me is that f'ing Boise has done it in the past. Why the hell can't we? It drives me mad.
