I can't believe there are people arguing on this board. who cares if we're better than 5 years ago. We still lose the same OOC games. I'm sick of it. [/quo We are 1-22 against Pac-12 teams. I don't give a damn about winning the Mountain Wuss Conference and going to another toilet bowl. the ONLY way to improve is by recruiting. Losing to these p-5 teams over and over again just adds more nails to the coffin carrying our football program. It flat out stinks and is gigantically inferior to the big boys. I really don't think we will have a football team in 3-5 years. I'm ok with that because what we have now is so junior college. SCOREBOARD, BABY!!!!!!!

This program is no where near it was 5 yrs ago. Don't get fooled, it was horrendous 5 yrs ago! This program is a QB and minor defensive improvements from being ranked in the top 30. Since 2010, the highest we've been ranked is 27th, I think. And THAT was Hoke's second, and last, year here, after we beat Navy in the P-Bowl. I don't think we've come close to that again, and it's unlikely we'll even get in the top 40 this year.

I think they are pretty bad against the Pac all time and SDSU would be hard pressed to beat the 2014 Cougs of WAZZU the last team they beat. There was a time they owned Cal but Cal fixed that by firing Keith Gilbertson!

I disagree. The only difference I saw in us and them is they have a QB and we do not. When they needed a play from Mannion, he delivered. When we needed QK to make a play, he did not. That's why we got stuffed after the first drive. The weak-armed out for the INT was painful.

Seriously they have much more talent we will be oK in conference .The thing is we do not have a Qb who can throw anything but a few routes.Obviously this thing is on Rocky for grossly overestimating QK and not going after a good JC QB immediately. If you think Sipe has the final say in QBs your sadly mistaken. Looks like we have two potential young QB's He reminds me of a less mobile Brian Russell.

You guys have gone toe to toe with the big boys in games you should have won, only to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Why that happens, i dont know, but its not because you were inferior. You guys have gone toe to toe with the big boys in games you should have won, only to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Why that happens, i dont know, but its not because you were inferior. When you go toe to toe with the big boys and lose 95.5% of the time, something is wrong and you must (at the very least) entertain the possibility that your results are inferior. Ironically, it isn't those losses that have truly disheartened me, it is the losses to teams like Idaho, San Luis Obispo, and that Illinois directional school. When we lose to teams like that you really must ponder the health of our program. I do not know another FBS program that loses more often to teams they should beat by large margins, nor am I aware of another program that beats a P-5 (major conference team) program once a decade, if we are real lucky.
