Root Sports is based in the Rockies, so you will see UNM, Utah State, Wyoming etc. on there.

The only two teams to watch this year is us and the Rebs. UNM has a crummy team and a terrible OOC schedule. I still think that Fresno is the out layer.

I look forward to watching all MWC teams, except USU, AFA, and SJSU. Nevada won't be much better than those 3 except for AJ West who is a shot blocking stud that sets them apart. The rest of the teams each have a chance to be in the top 3. The top 6 teams get a bye in the MWC tournament this year. I have no idea who the #7 team will be. Playing in the first round while the top 6 rest will be AFA, USU, Nevada, and a mystery team. SJSU is not eligible for post season.
1. SDSU 2-7. UNLV, CSU, BSU, UNM, FSU, Wyo 8. Nevada 9. AFA 10. USU 11. SJSU

Root Sports is based in the Rockies, so you will see UNM, Utah State, Wyoming etc. on there. They have affiliates in the Rockies (actually based in Seattle (Bellevue)). It's basically just FSN, like FSSD, but independent. Have covered the Mariners for a LONG time (since FSN days), but also have the Mountain region as well as Utah & even Ohio. Definitely a key provider for Big Sky/WAC, as well as some MWC teams. Would guess most of NM's Root games are ones being played against AFA, USU, CSU. Glad to see we didn't get stuck on it.

UNM likes dat ROOT SPORTS I think it's called "Root" sports because so few people watch it, it's more underground than a rave in the late '80s.

Sure looks as though the networks have provided the MW with its preseason poll of where teams will finish

Root Sport is owned by DirecTV. It's DirecTV's answer to Comcast and Comcast Sports Network. Root is also affiliated with FSN. DirecTV bought formerly FSN affiliates in Pittsburgh, Seattle, and the Rocky Mountains. And now Root will take over the defunct Comcast Sports Network in Houston. DirecTV and Root are growing. Like Comcast Sports Network popularity in SoCal, expect Root to gain and get more access across North America. DirecTV has a lot a subscribers and a lot of money. It can easily compete with Comcast and win. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_Sports

Thought ATT is going to buy Direct TV I don't know if it was rumored, taking their time ironing out details or maybe the FCC or someone else is trying to block it. Anyway I would imagine Direct TV would remain autonomous, even if acquired. Cable and satellite are like oil and water.
