Well then I'll keep my fingers crossed that he doesn't roll left and try to throw across his body. For me, it's Rolling Rock. Or some other adult beverage.

We'd better get some pressure on the QB, or it will be a very long night.

10 points now in the Boston Globe. It hit 10 and moved back to 9.5 according to ESPN.com's pick center.

One way to slow him down is to keep him off the field with long, sustained Aztecs drives that keep their offense from getting into a rhythm and keeping our defense rested and ready to go

I see us winning this game with our resurgent OL, which looks to be much better this year. Could be something like 34-31.

Win TO battle - must be in the + 2. Keep Mannion off the field, as you mention Of course if we score every time that'll level of the odds, but he's a super, quality QB & this is the best team we'll face all year. DEFINITELY the best QB. Won't be easy, especially when it's an experienced QB against inexperienced DBs.

IMO it will end up higher. Closer to 10. Today, Tuesday, at The M, SDSt., +10.5. No respect!

OSU returns 14 starters and a vast majority of the starters (and 2 deep) are seniors and juniors. The questions remains... is the talent level there to be successful on the field. Several years back, I think it was when Tollner was coach, SDSU had a ton of returning starters and I thought that was going to be SDSU's break out year. Well... SDSU was mediocre that year because the talent level just wasn't there. As for the +10 spread, I double downed my winnings from UNC game when it reached +10.

Oregon State has Mannion, but we have no one close to his ability at that critical position. Mannion was a 4-star recruit in the Oregon State class of 2010. Quinn Kaehler is a former walk-on who has done a commendable but not exceptional job.
I point this out to reinforce how much a lead even middle of the pack P5 schools have on us in terms of recruiting. Had we been able to recruit Mannion (or someone his equal) we likely would have won 10 or more games last year and would now be 2-0.
SDSU's personnel is good and I'd say getting better. But to beat a North Carolina or an Oregon State (which we once had little trouble doing, by the way), our recruiting is going to have to get even better. And especially at QB. For what it's worth, here is a summary of SDSU's and Oregon State's QB recruiting for the class of 2010 through 2014. . . .
Comparing QB recruits of SDSU and Oregon st., 2010-2014
SDSU Class of . . .
2010: Adam Dingwell.....2-stars
2011: Chad Jeffries.....3-stars
2012: Chase Favreau.....unrated
......Matt Morin........3-stars
2013: Darryl Richardson.3-stars
2014: Nick Bawden.......2-stars
......Christian Chapmen.3-stars
......Kameron Kelly.....2-stars
......Brad Odeman.......2-stars
Oregon State class of . . .
2010: Sean Mannion......4-stars
2011: Peter Ashton......2-stars
2012: Brent VanderVeen..3-stars
2013: Kyle Kempf........3-stars
2014: Marcus McMaryion..3-stars
......Nick Mitchell.....3-stars

PS: here's something interesting I discovered in my research. Our last 4-star recruit was Perry Jackson,a DE. He was in the class of 2010

Side note on Perry Jackson, our last 4-star recruit. He was kicked off the team and, if I am not mistaken, later played at Northern Arizona.

He is definitely a pocket passer so need a good rush up the middle from the Aztecs or the blind side.Any update on the OSU front line .Agree with most other posters . Aztecs will need long drives that put up points on the board especially TD's .

SDSU's inability to pressure the QB is of bigger concern. If Mannion is allowed time to pass and to run freely... rut roh! I have faith in Largent, Fely, Munson and the rest of the LB corps to get there on a blitz or two. I got a kick out of this...I don't think Fely will be getting to the qb as he has not suited up all year and at best, will be back in a few weeks. Worst case scenario is he doesn't play again but hopefully he can return. Fractures in the cervicle area of the spine are not to be played with.

You can edit him out. I think the point is that The AZTECS pass rush needs to get to Mannion and make it difficult to sit in the pocket and hit his receivers. www.donbest.com/ncaaf/injuries/
