Got back Monday night from North Carolina. Great time in Chapel Hill (except for the obvious).
Time to get feedback from people who are going to Corvallis. Who knows the fun places? Anyone want to to pick a place to meet for anyone interested on Friday night?
I was at the game at Oregon State in 2000 when they squashed us. Hung out at the Fox and the Firkin' that weekend. That restaurant has apparently closed down.
I REALLY wanted the Aztecs to win at NC. I'm way over moral victories. We need to win in Corvallis.

Looking at their first two games, this is a Beav team that obviously can be had. Aztecs gotta be like Ice Man, though: Ice cold, no mistakes; Wait for them to get bored and do something stupid and we've got 'em.
This can be THE game, gentlemen.

I'm not going to Corvallis until Saturday, but if you guys want to meet in Portland, I'm game. Henry's is a good spot in the Pearl District. Bridgeport Brewing is good. There are TONS of great beer/food spots.

Great wines too, 78. 200 plus in Oregon now and at least 60 to 70 in Willamette Valley.

SIAP, but I noticed the kickoff is at 7:30! All day tailgating opportunity! Is anyone game for some coordinating on parking situations to cordon our own area?

The Fox and Firkin' has been replaced by Flathead Brewing, which is great! Ate their on Friday night with my son who is a junior at OSU. You might also try Sky High Brewing (opened last year), which is right down the street. If you love barbecue, make a point to visit Bomack in nearby Albany -- a warning though, while the bbq brisket, ribs, etc. are out of this world, they don't serve any beer (or any alchol) to wash it down. The weather has been nice in Corvallis. I hope it holds out for all my fellow Aztec brethren making the journey north. See you roadtrippers in Corvallis!

Gameday Parking MapIt looks like (from Google Maps) that the largest amount of food and drink options are to the far east near the river, which would have an optimal location on the west lots, that cost $20. The cheapest lots to the north look like college and student spots, it may not be as fun with a bunch of drunk students for only $5 less. Anyone interested in an Aztec gathering, or is it going to be more of a walkaround, loner-type of Saturday?

FYI, it's the Flat Tail Brewery, not Flathead. In any case, thanks, it looks good. Happy Hour from 3-6 and 9-closing. Hope to be there Friday night.

We should be down there from Seattle by 4 or so.
BTW - Weather looking great. Mid 80's going down into the upper 50's as the night goes on...Rain unlikely.

Depending when we get in from Portland on Saturday you may have a couple others at Flat Tail.

Without a spread how do you think anybody not on this board is going to give a crap about this game? It's nice to see SDSU in "lights".
