SDSU Football Commits Week 1 Stats

Here we go....another season of seeing how the SDSU commits perform this year:

RB Juwan Washington rushed 24 times for 255 yards and 4 TDs as Kennedale HS (1-0 record) defeated Crowley HS 56-20.


RB Jatory Sparks-Brown rushed 2 times for 2 yards as DeSoto HS (1-0 record) defeated Martin HS 55-30.


WR Evan Rambo had 1 reception for 31 yards as La Salle (Pasadena) HS (1-0 record) defeated Compton HS 34-0


LB Reggie Murphy made 4 tackles and 1 assisted tackle as Heritage HS (1-0 record) defeated La Quinta HS 27-26


WR Jerry Chaney made 6 receptions for 65 yards as Rancho Cucamonga HS (1-0 record) defeated Trabuco Hills HS 17-0


TE Hasani Smith recorded no stats, but Upland HS (1-0 record) defeated Knight HS 71-0


WR Jacoby Herring made 5 receptions for 49 yards and 1 TD as Citrus Hill HS (0-1 record) lost to Rancho Verde HS 34-37


DB Mike Bell (Stats not listed for defensive players) Citrus Hills HS (0-1 record) lost to Rancho Verde HS 34-37


WR Jack Bailey Stats not listed. Torrey Pines HS (0-1 record) lost to Pleasant Grove (Utah) HS 36-49


LB Jeff Clay No stats yet...Antelope Valley HS plays their first game of the season on 9/5/2014.


DE Randy Ricks made 2 tackles and 4 assisted tackles as Arizona Western College (2-0 record)defeated Scottsdale College 49-20. After 2 games, Ricks has made 5 tackles and 7 assisted tackles

Jack Bailey is up for PPR player of the week , vote on their website. He made a great 1 handed catch in the TP game

The DeSoto QB, sophomore Tristen Wallace, did his best Michael Vick imitation: passed for 287 yards and 4 TDs and rushed 11 times for 217 yards and 3 TDs. The 2 main running backs rushed for 51 and 65 yards (DeSoto had a total of 334 yards on the ground)

Also would guess we would lose Rambo to a P5 school- especially after the P% vote and then the "newer rules that are going to be put forth in January "

Desoto is one of the best teams in Texas. Desoto is one of the best running teams in the country. Last year or the year before they had a guy go to Oregon. They're like the Curtis team in New Orleans (the school B. Porter is from). We offered a guy who only had like 9 career catches, he ended up going P5 I believe.

My point it, even their #2 or #3 guys are GOOD. Not saying Brown is the #3 guy, but just cuz he's sharing reps, doesn't mean he's a scrub.
