The 6-foot-10 inch Morse sophomore is starting to make his presence known. McCoy is a double-double guy right in our backyard. Here's his Scout bio:
Under Armour Finals (July 16th-20th, 2014): The most impressive prospect of the day was the rising sophomore from San Diego, California. At 6-foot-10 and 225 pounds, the physically impressive post is an active body on the low block, has good hands, and runs the floor well. While he isn't the best finisher around the rim, he is more than capable, and he even showed that he's capable of knocking down jump shots from out to 18 feet. Right now, he is easily a top 30 prospect in the class. College Projection:

The 6-foot-11, 230-pound center from San Diego Morse made a major statement at the Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp. McCoy's stock is going up. Here are some quotes from the Scout Hoops interview. The kid still has 3 years of HS left, however, he talked up SDSU.
“I do whatever I can to help my team win. My strengths are probably rebounding, blocking shots and pushing the ball, because I can do that pretty well for my size.”
San Diego State, Kansas, Arizona, California, Missouri, Virginia and USC are all showing interest McCoy, who has one offer so far.
“I have an offer from San Diego State,” McCoy said. “I live in San Diego and like the surroundings. The campus is beautiful."
Finding a place where McCoy can surround himself with the right people will be important for him, whereas location may or may not be.
“I would like to stay close to San Diego but any school that I feel will fit my needs as a player and student, I would go there,” McCoy said.
“I’m looking for a school with a great environment. I want to surround myself with great people who care about me and my teammates. I want to be with teammates who care as much about this game as I do because I love this game and I want to die on this court.”
