According to multiple sources, the San Antonio Spurs have signed former San Diego State forward Josh Davis to a multi-year contract.
how does the work - is this locked in? no 10 day contract? no being claimed (if he's in the D league)?

This takes away the sad of Chad Young getting cut by the Jets.*
*Unless you're Chad Young.

So incredibly stoked for Josh Davis. His attitude (humble and hard working) may have helped him land this opportunity. I'm not certain, however, if the contract is guaranteed or not.

The Spurs obviously know there is talent on the Mesa. Those other teams need to get with the program. I feel bad for Thames. He should be in the league. So happy for you Josh! Keep hustling. Wow can you imagine Josh with a jump shot.

Now if we can get Polee and Shep in there as well we can be to the Spurs what UNM is to the Bulls...but with rings.

Maybe they thought Josh was Kawhi's younger brother.

Might be premature to pop the corks just yet... " Deeks clarifies in his post that this is likely a camp deal, which makes sense. The Spurs have signed Bryce Cotton and JaMychal Green to only partially guaranteed multi-years already, designed to provide bodies for training camp and to lock up anyone that impresses for a couple of years on the cheap. It's almost certain that's the case with Davis." LinkGive a motor a place to rev, and good things usually happen.

I would love to see a Josh Davis shot put free throw attempt in an actual NBA game. I love the kid. Give 'em hell son.

Pop will turn this kid into the hardest working bench player in the NBA. This kid has heart, now all he needs is a jumper. Great kid, great place to land.

Can't wait to see him play more. Such a great hustler, and fun to watch.

Not surprising that the Spurs can truly appreciate the value of what JD brings to the table. Perfect guy to give KL a breather whilst maintaining strong defensive pressure on the other team and aggressively collecting rebounds. LeBron won't like this SDSU guy either!
