Kentucky and also Kansas have been view as the most probable landing destinations for Thon Maker. Arizona State now looks to be the team to beat. Maker may be in the PAC. Tired of Kentucky, Kansas, Duke monopolizing players. I still don't think this kid sees a college floor.
if he does, it'd be refreshing to see him not going to the bluebloods.

Thon Maker is the next Kevin Garnett. Impressive performance yesterday at BallsLife All-star game in Long Beach.

After watching him play yesterday, I am not sure why he'd spend 1 minute in college.

Thon Maker has no where near the skill level of KG, he isn't close to that level.

Just to clarify, I don't think he plays college ball due to academics and other opportunities, not necessarily his talent. He's awesome no doubt though. He can play anywhere. Just think he chooses something less traditional. Will see.

Just think he chooses something less traditional. Will see. The kid is aggressive at the rim, handles the ball well, plays passing lanes, blocks shots, shoots a decent mid range shot and pops from 3, and at 7 feet has raw talent. In the 3pt contest he drained 8 in a row, but lost to Kentucky recruit PG Briscoe. I don't know his academic status, but that's been unclear for awhile. High energy for a big man. He'll play in the NBA year.

If ASU can get in on this guy, SDSU ought to make a run at him and his brother.

Stop bumping this thread. You guys do realize......... lol. We had an email that went to almost the entire navy one time but the distro was on the bcc. People kept replying all saying, "please take me off this distro". Went on for days, it was hilarious.

One of the best available prospects -- Thon Maker -- has schedule three official visits.
Five-star power forward Thon Maker scheduled a trio of official visits on Thursday, his guardian Ed Smith told Scout.
Maker, who recently took a trip to Kansas, will visit UNLV this coming weekend. Maker will then take a month off, before visiting Arizona State on April 18th and Notre Dame on April 25th.
How does UNLV get NBA talent when they suck as a team? Money Talks.

Simon may be a better recruiter than Rice IF he can get Maker.
Maker should check out how his fellow Canadians like life @ the beach in SD.

Let's see. What am I looking for in a college. No head coach. Last two NBA prospects get injured. Haven't won anything in a long time. Yup, nothing to see here.
