1st selection goes to the Las Vegas Bowl -- will take the Champion or runner-up if the champion gets the Access Bowl (or better)
2nd selection in 2014 is NEW ORLEANS BOWL -- will take the runner-up (unless it's a rematch of an earlier game in the season)
3rd is Poinsettia Bowl -- #3-5
4th is Hawaii Bowl -- #3-5
5th is New Mexico Bowl -- #3-5
6th is Famous Idaho Potato Bowl -- any team still eligible

How obvious can blackballing be? Boise travels like crazy, how can SDSU compete with that? I went to the Vegas Bowl against North Carolina and the turn out was lackluster. Granted the weather was RIDICULOUS! It was the Aztecs first bowl in quite a few years and I really expected it to be packed. The Aztecs would have to be far and away the best team in the conference to get an invite. By the way, I believe that was the last time we played the Tar Heels. That was a tough one to swallow, vintage putting foot in ass game that fans of 20 years or more were so accustom to witnessing! So glad that has changed.

If we went to the lesser crap bowls I can understand, but not the 'Vegas Bowl. We should drop football if fans don't show up when we're at our best. BTW when we went to that bowl against UNC, we weren't the best conference team.

Bowls are exhibitions created to make money (allegedly for charity) and all selection committees care about is what you've done in the past. We can't sell out a home bowl game? Nope. So welcome to the "whatever is left" bowl.

I see, so if Boise has a shittier record they get chosen for 'Vegas even if we're champs. Bullshit. Let's see what happens if we end up the exclusive goat champs. We've gone to 4 consecutive bowls because we've been bowl eligible. Ho-hum. Fans expect more and rightfully so.

Vegas or New Orleans. Not the Poinsettia Bowl again. The point of a bowl is to experience a new city to most of the players, unless we get BYU again, but that is worrisome with the Mormon Voodoo curse that has been cast on Aztec football.
I did like how all the BYU fans waited for all of us to leave after that horrible Poinsettia Bowl game because they were scared of us.

Not only are these eggs not hatched, they have not even been laid....

0 losses - playoff Fiesta (i.e. non-playoff) Bowl invite 1(-2) loss(es) - Vegas bowl 2 3-5 losses - Poinsettia 6 losses - Potato Fify Edit: Actually, I think if - God forbid - we finish just 6-6 and anybody else in the MWC finishes with the same record with nowhere to go, we're going to stay home since the Potato Bowl chose us over SJSU last year. Won't be an issue, however, since we're going to go 6-0 at home and aren't going to go 0-6 on the road.

4 bowl games on Dec. 20th (opening day) so basically all MWC all day long and then 2/3 of our teams are done for the season. The only possibilities for a P5 opponent are Access Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl or Cactus Bowl (where we are an alternate)
Dec. 20 Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV) $1,100,000 MWC #1 vs. Pac-12 #6
Dec. 20 New Orleans (New Orleans, LA) $500,000 Sun Belt #1 vs. MWC #2-7
Dec. 20 New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM) $456,250 C-USA vs. MWC #2-7
Dec. 20 Potato (Boise, ID) $325,000 MAC #2 vs. MWC #2-7
Dec. 23 Poinsettia (San Diego, CA) $500,000 MWC #2-7 vs. Navy
Dec. 24 Hawaii (Honolulu, HI) $650,000 C-USA vs. MWC #2-7
Dec. 31 Fiesta (Glendale, AZ) $17,000,000 At-large
Jan. 2 Cactus (was Buffalo Wild Wings) (Glendale, AZ) $3,350,000 Big 12 #6 vs. Pac-12 #7 (MWC conditional)

Didn't know the Poinsettia already had a deal with Navy. We definitely do NOT need to play them in another bowl game. Here's hoping the Midshipmen fail to win six games.
