I know we have a crazy loaded roster...especially at the guard spots, but what are the chances that this guy makes it? Obviously a pure shooter and you can never have enough of those. Will be interesting to see if he manages to force his way on to the roster like AQ. www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9KKJdfGNaw

Uh, does he play any defense? Nice spot shooting though, no doubt. Reminds me of Rahon. I figure the extra time absorbing Fisher's system and fighting for a spot in the rotation during practice may do him some good.

I liked what I saw. I feel sure that he can play defense. Fisher's teams play defense. Fisher would not put him in a uniform if he could not defend. JMO

Highlights of threes over undersized defenders is rough to judge. That said I like his ability to be a catch and shoot, and if we can utilize him as a weapon against a zone, then we are doing something right.

I'm not sold. Quinn was starter at CSUN. Parker could barely see the floor at Hartford. There's your difference.

I'm not sold. Quinn was starter at CSUN. Parker could barely see the floor at Hartford. There's your difference. It's not how you start, but how you finish ... Coach Fisher will get to see these guys side by side in practice and we have a long tradition of putting the best team on the court, regardless of scholarship or walk-on status. Some players develop slower than others, but when it clicks (if it ever does) they can find themselves in the "preferred" 8-man rotation that is Fishers default. There's more than enough depth right now for a 10-man rotation, but we still have to sort out the lingering issues of injuries, familiarity with our system, defensive ability and the speed / athleticism of the game at our level (as opposed to that of CSU-N, Hartford or High School).

Fish knows how to develop kids, that's part of his claim to fame. But if this kid doesn't meet expectations, he'll be transferring out (see LBF, Alec Williams, Steve Sir, etc.)

Believe he came here as a walk on . He will probably be a walk on similar to Ryan Staten and others . There is usually an open try out each year . Fisher likes to have at least 15 guys for practice so he will have the opportunity to scrimmage against the guys . Play some in G.T . If he is a can't miss shooter they can always see in the next three years or he can go to another school . They also always note guys who are graduating on senior night. As noted AQ was a starter before he transferred here .

I think his video is another classic example of selective editing. In his only year of Div 1 basketball at Hartford in the American East conference, he shot 29% from 3-point land and 30% from 2. That doesn't suggest he's a sharpshooter at all. And that's against the Vermonts, Stoney Brooks and Albanys of the world.I bet he's a great kid who wants to improve his game and live closer to home. Maybe by now his shot has gotten better too. I can't imagine him getting any kind of real floor time with all the other shooters on the roster this year. It would be a wonderful story if he suddenly became a long-range marksman who was good for 2-3 quick baskets without costing us on the defensive end but I don't think it's likely.

First off we have a deep team and he may not get on the floor. Second, lets not assume he can't shoot. Yea the stats don't look great but I would guess with better players around he should shoot a higher percentage. Last thing is he has had a year to practice with the team and I'm sure that helped his development.

Last thing is he has had a year to practice with the team and I'm sure that helped his development. Also small sample size. Those percentages were from very few attempts. But players who are second team in their high school conference, aren't rated by services, and have bad years as a freshman - let's just say there is a reason he is walking on.

He is a walk on this year with 13 guys on scholarship ,we did not take scholarship transfers because we did not have any, but he can play if needed or in " GT" as a walk on. We are loaded with guards and not much PT . He practices with the team . Coaches evaluate him similar to Ryan Staten .
