Short article on another son of Lifetime Aztec Leonard Allen. Is the coaching staff taking a look at this kid?

Jarrett Allen has seen his recruitment pick up over the past few months. Allen is a rim protector and he establishes position in the paint like few can at the high school level. The 6-9 forward is now ranked 29th in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2016 class.
This weekend Allen and his Texas Pro squad were playing in the George McClellan Invitational. They went 6-0 over the weekend and they beat Nike sponsored Houston Hoops to win the title. Even though he enjoyed team success, Jarrett thought he could have played better saying “some of my games were bad, but I showed what I could do in some other games.” He drew some of the largest crowd of coaches this weekend to watch him play. When asked what he wanted to show coaches, he said “I can block shots, I can shoot from the mid-range, and I can post up.” The big man even knocked down a 3 at one point.
June is a slower time on the summer basketball circuit and players attend camps. Allen attended the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Virginia. He established himself as one of the top big men in his class and also helped to lead his team to the title at the Top 100 camp. Allen was invited to the Adidas Unrivaled camp this weekend, but he couldn’t make it to Chicago.
Allen keeps adding to his list of offers. Right now he has offers from “Baylor, Houston, SMU, Kansas State, and Texas.” Tulsa and Oklahoma State are showing interest. Among the schools that saw him over the weekend were: Baylor, Texas, Houston, SMU, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Marquette, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Lamar, Creighton, Rice, and Texas State. Although no schools are standing out to him at the moment, Jarrett does acknowledge it means a lot for his hometown team in Texas to be recruiting him. He doesn’t expect to take any college visits this summer.
Allen will finish out his summer schedule with the Great American Shootout in Dallas next weekend and then he'll head to the Las Vegas Classic.
