Since the extra ".9" makes no sense with only around 300 choices, he must be including DII, DIII, NAIA, JC, and CC. Therefore he is right. Bill, you got me again. Can't argue..... I am going to stand by my number after looking up total college basketball programs in the U.S which includes the following levels:
NCAA - D-I (30 conferences) NCAA - D-II (25 conferences) NCAA - D-III (44 conferences) NAIA - D-I (8 conferences) NAIA - D-II (18 conferences) JuCo in total 24 regions in the U.S which includes 3 divisions JuCo - DI JuCo - DII JuCo - DIII
Look at the 500+ transfers from last year, many select lesser level teams and even JC basketball. Very few of the 500+ upgrade to a top 25 school.
Of the total 2,000+ programs we are in the top 1,990.
