I like this kids skills, check out the tape. Devastating cross-over, outside shot, big hops, tremendous ball skill, pin point passing and court vision. Maryland and UNM has offers as well as many Big West and WCAA schools. He is from Roseville CA which is that Sacramento pipeline to SDSU. Nastly skills. See for yourself. search.yahoo.com/search?fr=ipad&p=noah+blackwell.

Honestly, this kid gives good mix tape. As far as Fresno State, I predict top 5 for MWC Basketball in 2014.

Per Ziegler in Saturday's UT . Aztecs after receiving Verbal from combo guard Hemsley are looking to add a PF/C .Ernest Aflakpui or Brodericks Jones both 6'9" rated 3* with a lot of upside . if they can not get either of them may hold the scholarships for transfers .

The Aztecs have 7 offers out right now for the class of 2015.
- Marcus Lovett 6'0 165 PG 4-star
- Stephen Thompson Jr. 6'4 165 SG 4-star
- Rex Pflueger 6'6 185 SG 4-star
- Nur'wyl Williams 6'2 180 SG/PG 4-star
- Nate Grimes 6'8 210 SF/PF 3-star
- Brodricks Jones 6'9 190 PF 3-star
- Ernest Aflakpui 6'9 225 PF/C 3-star
Blackwell is a kid that they have shown interest in and has upside and a lot of offers lately. But I agree, we need to add depth in the front court when we lose, JJ, Polee next year to graduation and Sky, Chol and Winston the following year (unless he leaves early.) Others consider Malik Pope one and done, but I doubt that will happen given his history with his legs.

Not sure how this impacts SDSU's recruiting but Jermaine Haley a 6'7" PG from Canada committed to WA! The Washington Huskies men's program landed its first addition of the 2016 class Monday when Burnaby, B.C., forward Jermaine Haley committed to the school. Jeff Goodman tweeted Monday that Haley's AAU coach Pasha Baines confirmed Haley's commitment to Washington. Haley's play has earned him comparisons to Penny Hardaway, reports Percy Allen of the Seattle Times. Huskies head coach Lorenzo Romar beat out offers from Louisville, Ohio St., Memphis and Gonzaga, as well as up to six Pac-12 schools for Haley's services. Rivals.com's Eric Bossi wrote two days ago of Haley's play in an AAU tournament that the six-foot-seven-inch forward made 'things look easy' but possibly yet lacked a 'killer instinct.' www.si.com/college-basketball/2014/07/28/washington-huskies-jermaine-haley-lornezo-romar-commitment-2016

U Dub has 0 scholarships left in 2015 and (2) for 2016 so it may increase our chances on players that both schools are looking at since they have fewer to offer? Its hard to say two years out.

It's probably O.K. from an AZTEC perspective since he wasn't one of our targets as a recruit and SDSU doesn't have WA on it's schedule for 2016.

We've battled the Huskies for the same recruits year after year. The Seattle Press couldn't believe that Zylan Cheatham signed with SDSU over U Dub last year; this year they recently got a commitment from Marquese Chriss 6'9 230 out of Elk Grove (Sacramento). Between Mailk Pope, Dakari Allen, D'Errly and Chase, the Aztecs had a Sacto pipeline going straight into SDSU.
Marquese Chriss was high on the Aztec list for the PF/C position. Perhaps, he'll hate the rain and transfer to sunny San Diego.

Romar won the battle for Darin Johnson SG from Sacramento, he was a teammate of Williams and Allen.

I still like this kids film! Aztecs are down to Lovett, Grimes, Aflukpui and Pflueger. Blackwell is a 3-star kid from the Sacto area and just got an offer from Cal and Colorado today.
