Why the hell bump this thread with such an innane comment about a recruit we never had any interest in??? Geesus. If you don't like it don't respond and be a d... and be respectful. It's easy.

Would agree as the story goes Aztecs should have experienced players at every position other then JH. Would hope the coaches stress more movement with out the ball , spend more energy on offense to get open ,then ready for the ball , when it gets there be ready and take advantage of every opportunity. JH's job is to try to relax and look for the best option , if not there then on to the next one , take of the basketball . Enjoy the offense , something that it did not seem we did last year . JH has the basketball skills but can he also handle adversity , when it comes and then move forward. This is where Winston's leadership will also be important. Game at Utah will be strong test , then of course the game with CAL . So he needs as much PT before as possible .

“We’ve got expectations for him also,” Fisher says. “And yet, it’s not a no-brainer that he’ll just walk in and play 25 minutes a game. What we’ve seen, we really like. He’s got a good feel for how to play, he’s got good ball skills, he’s a very good athlete, he’s got size, he sees the floor. I think he will make plays for others, and he’ll guard hard.

If JH can successfully drive the ball to the basket, the defenses will have to collapse on him, this will leave a few shooters open. Malik Pope will benefit the most from any success JH will have at distributing the ball. I think one of the things that hampers our offense is the lack of any offense from the Center position. Teams do not have to guard our centers as tightly.

Time for the coaches to adjust to the athletic players they recruit . Should be a strong emphasis to rebound the ball get out in transition and attack the basket in the first 15 /20 seconds of the new 30 second shot clock. No longer the ball screen offense . Work with Spencer/Chol to expect a very quick pass, hang on to it , either another quick pass or up for a shot . As mentioned we need Spencer/Chol to be an active part of the offense , expecting the ball if they and others are moving to get open . Maybe 12-15 points a game from the center position .We lose recruits who play the 5 , because there is not enough involvement with our centers on offense. Centers also need to be at least 60% FT , understand Spencer has been working on shooting them with his left hand . JAM Center , will be open .

Hemsely's running mate at Damien, Bryce Peters, holds offers from MWC Schools Wyo, SJSU, Utah St and also Grand Canyon and Pepperdine. Today he got an offer from Tulsa. good for hemsley's teammate I guess? Peter's offered today from UNLV, that just made this thread more interesting. 6 MWC offers and counting.

So how does Peters compare to Bailey, Mathews, Melton, Cyrus, Fraser and Gill- Ceaser ( Sp) ? Peters is behind Melton, Cyrus and Mathews. Not afraid to take a shot, close to 10 Pts/4 Rebs/2.5 Asst according to Max Prep. But he played second fiddle to JH last year. His numbers should come up for his senior year. Athletic but no JH.

Think this should be a new thread on main board. He's graduated beyond "recruiting". ; )

This isn't the Colorado message board. Many people on this board appreciate the follow up on where recruits sign SDSU or otherwise. This one is for you.

This is in the section called "Aztec Recruiting"...which is for information on prospective Aztecs. I think "many people" would enjoy these posts in the other college section. I think many more people here find re-starting old threads to talk about a guy who isn't an aztec target annoying. Nobody comes close to you with posts on recruiting... When it is aztec-related or even mountain West related great. Mods, am I out of line here? Shouldnt aztec recruiting be about guys the Aztecs are recruiting?

Shouldnt aztec recruiting be about guys the Aztecs are recruiting? no disrespect, when I post about a guy linked to the Aztecs, or who is in the press (SDUT, LA Times, Scout, Rivals, ESPN or a reputable recruiting service) say we have interest in a player, I'll follow it to the end. Peters played in the back court with Hemsley in HS had (6) MWC offers and linked to SDSU over the summer as a consideration.
