In 2017 we are recruiting (4) high level PGs: Howard, Hands, Smith and PoPoola. Moore isnt the same caliber. This makes me a bit sad. I'm a fan of Justin Moore's and have seen him play a lot. Always felt he was better than D'Erryl for what that's worth. Did you see much of D'erryl when he was in high school against similar level of competition?

X had that and he did alot for not having elite athleticism.

thought first choice was Mathews for 2016 , or maybe Cyrus , . or even Narain's AAU team mate ? Would be interesting to find out if the coaches expect MG-C to be more of a SG or SF. That could depend on who else we sign for 2016 . But we do have Kell , Shrigley plus MG-C at SG . As the coaches have stated quality over quantity .

Moore is a PG, while Matthews and Cyrus operate as SG. Fraser is listed more as a combo, for what its worth.

So with maybe 1 scholarship available for a guard . 2016: We have JH , Williams , Kell , MG-C , Shrigley , Perez,? what guard do you think would be the priority ? Mathews , Moore , Cyrus, Fraser ...? Grad transfer. ? Seems Hands is off to UCLA

FWIW I like this kid. I have seen him play a couple of times and he has heart! Justin will contribute wherever he signs.

Grad transfer. ? Seems Hands is off to UCLA I'd say whichever the staff believes has the most long-term upside, and whether size, ball handing or shooting is more important, given this mix. I don't think any of them will be asked to play immediately, so (like McDaniels) getting someone who could develop w/ more upside could pay off. If we needed someone to play immediately I'd say whoever is more polished...
If Mathews was going to grow to 6'3+ & improved his penetration game he'd definitely be my preference! I think they all have strengths & weaknesses, so without seeing any in person I know I don't feel qualified to even guess.

kind of a sloppy play but he definitely got fouled on the shot as well. In college he would have to drop it off or get rejected though. Very young and plenty of time to learn. I like his confidence to want and take the shot, this can carry him a long way. Just my 2 cents on the 5 second video

Moore headed to NOLA on an official visit at Tulane this weekend. Look for a signing to come. Tulane is an AAC school, and play the nations top mid-majors: SMU, UConn, Memphis, Tulsa and Temple among others and all were 20 game winners in 2014-2015.

He heads to Tulane for visit this weekend Wouldn't be surprised if he signs, however, they currently have another PG recruit from California named Colin Slater. 6'0 175 from Immanuel HS in Fresno, 3-star Rivals/ESPN & 4-star on Scout. Also in Maxwell Starwood 6'8 225 from TX, PF 3-star ESPN. This would give Tulane a pretty good class for 2016.

As predicted Moore lands at Tulane, Colin Slater from Fresno also committed giving the Waves 2 PGs who they may play together. Moore 6'3, Slater is 6'0.
