There are only a few top 15 recruits who are C/PF this year . For the Blue Bloods to battle over. Then numerous from 16-50 ratings , so other top 25 teams will be battling over this group . Then those rated 51-100 . All depends who can get the few at the top then ripple down , this is also where it is important to see how coaches see these guys fitting in their system . Unfortunately Kentucky , Arizona, Kansas , UCLA all have good track record getting their guys drafted by the NBA , and many of the recruits do look at that .

Know at least one time he was here last year was an unofficial . I do not know the rules can you only take 1 official visit ? Are there any limits on unofficial visits ?

I do not wanna lose this one to Arizona De'Ron Davis just narrowed his list to three Arizona, Indiana and Texas. He is a Four-star big man in 2016. Zona also has TJ Leaf committed for 2016 and Chance Comanche in 2015.

Yes, 1 official but unlimited unofficials, although I'm sure there's some funky rule about how often you can have in person contact on campus, etc. Always some weird rule.

I don't think Vance has us in his top 3 or 4, doesn't mean we cant squeeze back in there, though. Cage I feel good about, if he wants PT he'll come here, AZ and Kentucky will continue to pull in top 25 guys each year and he won't have the kind of impact he'd have here. I like Vance's game, but not sure if his defense is up to snuff like his offense is.

This from NBC Sports today. When asked about schools, SDSU is not high on Vance Jackson's consideration list.
“A lot of the Pac-12, UConn, Memphis and Maryland,” Jackson stated when asked about which schools have been most active in his recruitment, and he also stated that he was unsure as to when he would narrow things down. Jackson, who played at St. John Bosco last season, will attend Mater Dei for his senior year according to the Los Angeles Times.

Most guys want to take their visits , then evaluate their best options . Visits could start now and go through October. Leaf leaving Arizona means they are in the need of PF . There are not as many 5 star C/PF ,( handful at best) . . So all depends where the top guys land , then the scramble for guys rated 15 to 75 ( where Cage is rated ). Unless Cage gets super offer it may not be until some time mid to end of October.

Just curious, what is a super offer? Last I checked arizona, kentucky, ucla were pretty super offers. We will be extremely fortunate to land MJ. I sure hope he chooses us.

See Kentucky is after some of the higher rated C/PF . Not sure who Arizona and UCLA are going after , of the higher rated recruits , but if they can not get higher rated recruits then Cage maybe an option for them .

Kentucky and 'Zona are notorious for getting a player and then recruiting over him the following year, just ask Angelo Chol and Marcus Lee. If MJ is smart, he'll come here, get a great education, play high level, winning basketball, and carry on his dads legacy as an Aztec and beyond. Him and Nolan would create a great dynamic as a high/low front court, really hope he's seeing big picture in his decision.

Most recruits are trying to get the best offers they can . So being the Legacy is not going to seal the deal for Cage at SDSU . But then every recruit has different thoughts on why they choose a school. Being a top 15 recruit you feel pretty good about being a 1 and done . Rated 15-75 ,you are going to find the best place / fit . Yes the blue bloods are always trying to recruit the best talent to win MM, the goal for every recruit is to be involved in getting to the finals and then on to NBA. If you want to watch some of the top HS recruits 8/22 , on ESPNU the Elite 24 , recruits from the 2016 and 2017 classes . There will be some very good C/PF 's in that game . Not saying we may sign any but if the blue bloods pick off the top ones then maybe we can be in the hunt for others .

Is "Him" a new recruit? What's his first name? So the subject title of the thread didn't tee you off on who it may be about, eh?

No.Got it. Just stumbled over the personal pronoun and wanted to make sure it wasn't a different recruit.
