If Moser goes to the Zags you have got to think Davis ends up at SDSU.

Would agree Davis's priority is to graduate in May , so he does not have to attend summer school. He is one of the best grad PF transfers out there so can wait until he wants to make a decision. The Zags board would prefer him over Moser , although they feel that if they could sign both , even better. and put them in position to be a top 20 team . and a good run in March Madness. So it would not be a lock for the Aztecs if Moser decides to go to the Zags. Aztecs need to stay on the recruitment of Davis. ( if not work on plan B to sign another PF)

With Elias Harris gone due to graduation and Olynyk in the NBA, can't they sign both Moser and Davis if they really wanted to? I'm not too familiar with the Zags schemes/game plan, but it wouldn't surprise me if they end up with both of them, giving them a another year too look for another set of foreign players.

Believe the Zags had 4 scholarships to give out , 2 signed recruits , a 6'8" 3* forward, and a 6'11" C , that they expect to red shirt , . Their 6'9" back up center returns and the 7'1" center from Poland also returns , who they could red shirt . So they could sign both Moser and Davis. they usually run an offense that uses two "bigs". Kelly O showed how much he benefitted by red shirting a year . He went from a 7 ft thin player to a monster and is getting ready for the NBA. So we better not celebrate if Moser goes there , until we can actually get Davis , here and signed

SDSU definitely needs to fill a void more than Gonzaga. He has one year to make a significant impact on a program. I think he knows what the right decision is.

What Jorgy said.
Davis has just one more year of eligibility and he's said he wants to win AND play. That makes sense for several reasons, including the ability to position himself to be drafted. So most of the Zag fans think if Moser goes there, Davis will opt to go to SDSU.

I realize the Zags may have a bit more prestige in terms of basketball programs but they are no Duke, Kansas, NC, etc... I hope our recruiting staff isn't holding the same wait and see approach in regards to where Mike Moser signs. We have just as much to offer this kid as Gonzaga. A better facility, a tremendous fan base, a great coach and most importantly putting a similar player(K. Leonard) into the NBA, where he is excelling. Recent Gonzaga bigs in the NBA, R. Sacre, Turiaf and Austin Daye can barely get on the court. Hutson was key to Kawai's development and there is no question Davis would get all the playing time he desires. We don't need to play second fiddle to Gonzaga.

I realize the Zags may have a bit more prestige in terms of basketball programs but they are no Duke, Kansas, I think that was aztech's point above. It's one thing for SDSU to lose a recruit like Kevin Young to Kansas, which is one of the half dozen schools which is annually considered a national championship contender. However, this past season was further evidence that although Gonzaga is annually in the NCAAs to a large extent because they can't help winning their lousy conference, the Zags are still nowhere near being a legit contender for the NC.

The more I ponder it, the more I see Moser going to Oregon.
1. Romar is an idiot so it's between Gonzaga and Oregon. 2. Altman has reportedly told Moser he can freelance within the offense to showcase his skills for the NBA. 3. Moser is from Portland. 4. Playing in the Pac would allow Moser to take revenge on UCLA.

Does anyone know how close Davis really is to graduating? There were comments on the GU board that he may still have 12 to 14 credits to take this summer before he could transfer anywhere, and that remaining at Tulane for next season could still be a real option.

How would anybody on the zags board have any idea how many units a kid in Louisiana had to graduate? I'm sure he's graduating just fine.

Yeah but how many articles have been written about Davis and how many have said he has a heavy summer ahead of him if he's going to be eligible to play elsewhere this fall? None that I'm aware of.
